Automatic classification of tracks by key by ascending or descending order

Hello, everything is in the title. Is it possible to add the function of automatic classification of tracks by key by ascending or descending order?

you can just click on column of key and it will be sorted by the fifth circle clockwise or counterclockwise

what do you mean by automatic classification?
Do you want tracks will be in order: C Cm C# C#m etc?

Check an option in the preferences which would automatically sort by key in all the folders because sometimes your solution does not work and you have to quit traktor and restart it (at the start).

You must also click each time you change the folder to sort by key.

 

I think you want it to save your order of preference for your folder or playlists on exit. So when you open Traktor Pro 3 again you don't have to do a resorting every time. I would like to see that also. Rekordbox does this as well as Engine prime. NI can we have this feature as well if possible.

 

Simply sort the lists by your needs, right-click on the playlists and press CONSOLIDATE. This will save the arrangement of tracks in the playlist by numbers ("#" column).

 

I think it would be enough if the sort order of tracks in playlists was kept the same, regardless of the playlist

 

But it would not work for me, as I use and need different sort order in different playlists.... But it could be user configurable, if one prefers the same sorting in all playlists.

 

I think, it depends on the workflow each DJ uses to manage playlists. I'm comfortable with the way it is.
I manage different kind of playlist and I want each playlist sorted individually.

For example:
The playlists for each key are sorted by genre.
The playlists for genres are sorted by artist.
The playlists for my sets are arranged manually.

I mapped a short cut to the keyboard to consolidate the active playlist.
Whenever I'm done sorting/arranging a playlist, I trigger the short cut to save the arrangement. And next time I open Traktor, everything is in its place. I have a similar short cut mapped to save the library after doing a lot arrangement.

A feature to change the order of all playlists at once just seems redundant to me.
But, maybe I didn't get the point of the thread opener.

 

May it be a solution to order newly playlists by the same criteria that were used in whatever was on display right before you created them? That, combined with remembering sorting per playlist over sessions should allow you to always default to sort by your favorite columns (no matter which they are!)
