Automatic mapping.

    If an auto-sampling feature isn't planned for the next version, I'd be grateful for an automatic mapping feature. I know, while most people would like to have automatic mapping by pitch detection, I would already be satisfied, if Kontakt would map samples automatically through a specific file-naming rule. For instance, a file-name like "synthblabla_C3_v100" will map the sample on C3 with a maximum velocity of 100 - all the other samples of that instrument would determine the respective ranges of the note and velocity mapping. The renaming of the files could be done easily with a freeware tool (there are some available). Such a mapping option would be a real time-saver and surely not very complicated to implement. I think, Sampletank already offers such a mapping method...

    I would also like to see this feature.

    I have been sampling some of my old synths and this feature would have saved me hours.

    well, it just seems common that "new features" are added to a new paid version! :) sorry, i just assume this sort of thing - my bad!

    As far as I know, GigaStudio 3 has automapping and I've seen a lot of requests for it by Kontakt 2 users as well...it would be a very helpful feature.
