    Hi there,

When I drag a sample from the browser (in standalone Kontakt OR windows explorer) to an EXISTING group, Kontakt (v4) creates a new group for this sample. Where can I turn this off?

Kontakt (v4) also enables the sample loop function. Where can I turn this off as well?

Ps: I searched the manual and the forum, but I did not find anything, sorry. Thanks for the help!

Hm, something doesn't sound right here - if I drag a sample from Kontakt's browser or the Explorer directly to the Mapping Editor, it doesn't create a new group at all.

    Hi EvilDragon,

Thanks for your fast reply. I tested it with other files as well and you are right: some files don't "do" what I wrote. I am going to look into the files, when I have more time. Maybe it depends on cues inside the wave or something like this. I will post my research maybe this evening. :)

    greetings,

If you're dropping in a REX or Apple Loop file, it might create a new group, because it needs the beat machine mode. But for regular WAV/AIFF, it shouldn't do that at all.

Seems like the wave-file should not have tags. Then it does not create a new group nor enables loop. "Problem" solved for me. :)

Hey I'm having the same problem, but I dont know how to remove .wav tags or how to view them. Could you tell me how you fixed that?

The problem was long ago ... I do not really remember. Actually in Windows (7 Home Premium 64 bit) you have the option in the file properties menu on the page "details". On the bottom there is an option do "delete all information tags in this file". I think I clicked this.

It's ironic that I do not know how to add some tags anymore to test this solution, sorry. Hopefully it will help you! :)
