Is there a way to enable this? Lets say you got a track with Loop points and during play the track comes to the loop point, I want to activate this loop by it's self.

    Thanks for advice

There's a button on the far right of the deck window which says "Active". When that is highlighted it will activate the next saved loop the track rolls across.

NB: I've been using Traktor since 2009 and I've found out about this feature last week o_O

That's how you automatically activate loops.

Maybe we are talking about different things.

When I load a track which has loop points starting at seek position 0:00. The loop function is not active!

If you set a loop as a cue point, just load the track and press active (Loop section), when the song reach that cue point will be automatically looped.

As I could understand from the postings here, there is not a feature to enable this loop by default on track load. It is need of activating it manually right?

Another question, is it possible to enable SYNC for all assigned decks on default on Traktor start?

My guess is that Native Instruments developers have left the options for things such as auto enable saved loops or auto sync out. Not because the idea is not a good one, but because the majority testers for the software, the Djs Native instruments uses to test don't use a lot of auto-enabled functions.
    That is my guess.
But what I did was made a keyboard shortcut to set my most commonly used settings. (control+u)
This sets sync on all decks
    Turns on filters
    Sets the keylock
Turns off all effects and effects assignment.
I use keyboard for the mapping because then I don't accidentally hit a button on my controller and reset anything.

Of course some things like enabled loops per track can't be assigned. But personally anything per track auto-enabled would be a nightmare for me.
I know I would forget the 1bar weird loop I made auto-enabled and have a sudden strange loop happen.

You can map these functions to midi commands on your controller.

You would probably come out better if you use the remix decks for the loops in conjunction with tracks on track decks.

This still isn't a feature, but I second it. As I see it, all you need is in the "Loading" section of the settings is to have an option "Activate Saved Loops On Load".

The feature you request is a very simple problem. If you have previously set and saved a loop as cue point, for example on cue 2, and it was saved as active (active button highlighted), the next time you load the track all you have to do is pressing cue2 once. Doing so you remind yourself how the loop was and it becomes ACTIVE.

I you always want just map "activate" to the play or load buttons and uncheck override factory settings.

Many moons ago, in the vinyl days, a dj had to search through a crate to find the next record to play. He (or she) had to take out the record out of it's sleeve, check the tracks to put the right one on, put the needle on the record, cue up the track, use the pitch to get the tempo to match with the "on air" track, then wait for the right moment to drop in the track, correct the pitch, keep on monitoring so the tracks wouldn't drift, fade out the old track and start the search for the next track. Now, dj's are to lazy to push the activate button? Or to stupid to remember the track has a loop and if they want this loop to play, they have to push one little button. Really? I know Traktor could use some extra functions, but seriously???

Firstly, this is a good feature request and 'Autoloops' (as I call them) are a feature that I think we will see in a future version of Traktor. The devs think it's a good idea (or the one I spoke to does) so, a loop that will initiate when it is reached, without pressing a button will be hopefully be an option in the future.

Dude, thanks for the history lesson but I think you may have taken a wrong turn.
This is the Traktor forum - Traktor is DJ software that gives DJs a plethora of non-traditional DJ features that help creativity.
The website you are looking for is www.stuckinthepast.com

btw - I've been DJ'ing with vinyl for nearly 40 years so I'm an old fart as well :(.

It is a useful option and one that I can see a lot of people using if they only keep one saved loop that they use to mix out of for longer transitions. Maybe this should be moved to Feature Suggestions.

Hey Karlos & Co..you're right, I'm an old fart and you know what old farts do..they complain, say how good / hard / fun / etc... life was when they were young and how lazy the youth of today is. Maybe I took a wrong turn, but "the kids" of today don't know how easy they have it. And for some, easy still ain't enough. I too save my cues and loops, so I can use them in my mixes. Pushing that 'activate loop' gives me something more to do, something extra to think about..or forget and moan about when mixing. Who knows, if that auto activate loop function would exist, maybe I would use it too., but I'm sure then someone will complain about the loop activating automatically, even when they don't want to use it. It's all good for me :) Let's play music and enjoy, with or without auto-looping ;)

I agree with everything you said, but having the option to turn auto loop on or off in settings gives everyone the personalisation required. I sometime save more than 1 loop in a track so I probably wouldn't use it but then again I always save loops at the end of all my tracks for long mixes and I sometimes forget to activate them lol. The more options the better.

Yeah it would definitely be an option.
We have always had green loops but what if there were different colours for different kinds of loops so you could see which type of loop it was in the waveform? That would be cool.

I think I'm one of the oldest farts on the forum theses days - I like all these features, I'm getting slow in my old age :(
