    Hey guys. I saw somewhere that, through your host (for me Cubase 5) you can automate parameters. Anyone know how to do this? IE if you want to automate the reverb for a synth to come in at a certain point and then fade out, etc...thanks!

    Welcome =)

    Yes, you can. Arm your track for automation and move the knobs.

    And it works beautifully. And, to make matters even better, you can manually edit the automation AFTER the event. Incredibly flexible and fun to work with.

    Thanks for the help. I have no problem adding in automation through the kore player, however how do I adjust in the host? I just don't know how to see/change them (if i can?).

    Outlawtas,

    Make sure that the R letter in the channel is on, otherwise recorder automation wont work.

    Have a look at this other forum, im sure youll find more info there: http://www.cubase.net/phpbb2/

    Good luck!

    this does not seem to be working with me

    am i right in saying that all i need to do is press 'r' in cubase and then move the kore knobs and thats it automation recorded?

    or do i have to assign cc to the knobs?

    the former does not seem to work but the latter does but obviously with drawing in values and not using the kore knobs as input

    anyone could help much appreciated

    'R' stands for 'Read", there's also 'W', which stands for 'Write'
    If you want to record Automation data, you have to enable 'W'.
    Afterwards, if you want to play back the track with the Automation data,
    you have to enable 'R'.

    Read what losan said again. You need to have 'R' pressed for Cubase to read the automation.
