    Greetings!

Can anyone shed some light on this? I have been testing the kontakt demo within Logic Audio Platinum (v5.1) and have been trying to record control automation. With EXS24 you can simply activate record and move the desired controls to capture movement of faders, sliders, pots etc. With Kontakt this seems not to be the case? (For example hitting record and moving the cutoff pot with your mouse does not record any data).

Not having the manual as it's a demo, is there something that needs to be switched on within Kontakt or Logic? We were thinking of cross grading from EXS24 to Kontakt, and probably won't be if this can't be done.

If anyone knows the answer, please let me know, thanks...
    Steve.

There are some earlier threads, dealing with this topic. So you can search more info there.

In a nutshell: Kontakt does currently not support this kind of automation. But you can assign a MIDI controller to almost every parameter and automate Kontakt this way. Most applications allow to use sliders or envelops together with MIDI CC messages.
And probably Kontakt will be automation-enabled in one of the next updates, at least many people in this forum hope so.
