Availability of Komlete Audio 6

I need a new audio interface and the Komplete Audio 6 looks very promising to me. In the shop section it says "only at retailers" but I tried a lot of different shops and either the interface is not available at the moment or it isn´t even listed any more. Is there any information availabe when the Komplete Audio 6 will be back in stock again?

 

B&H Photo says "Back ordered, expected February 15."

 

Komplete Audio 6 nowhere to be found for a loooong time!

I have been looking for Komplete Audio 6 for a LOOOONG time, for at least 4-5 month, and it is nowhere to be find! I looked in several countries (Sweden, Germany, The Netherlands) in their most famous and largest music shops, and through the internet, in online shops, and it is simply imposible to buy. It is "not in stock" everywhere, and nobody new IF it will be available again or when.

So what is the deal with Komplete Audio 6? Is it out? It is not manufactured anymore? Why is it imposible to find?

I really wanted to buy it, but I was forced to buy something else in the end. I would switch beck to Komplete Audio 6 again, only if it was possible to buy, but ...

 

I just received an answer from on of the Europe's major online music-shops:

"We are really sorry but this product is sold out and we will not be providing this again. Thank you for your interest in our products and services."

So Komplete Audio 6 is gone...

 

I think you may be jumping to conclusions.

The shop said that they don't have any in stock, and they will not be carrying it. They did not say anything about whether anyone else will be carrying it.

Sweetwater's website claims that they have a confirmed order with Native Instruments that they expect will arrive the week or March 25. Musician's Friend has a "Preorder" notice for it. B&H describes it as "Back-ordered." Amazon.com has a link to an outfit called Circuit Office, which claims to have it in stock and is selling it at a premium price.

These facts are more consistent with a temporary shortage than with outright discontinuation.

 

So NO shop has it at the moment, and it was not available for several month now.

I did find some shops where they "sell it" too, but when you actually try to go on and buy it, you discover that "they don't have it at the moment, but will have it soon". Personally I don't believe they will.

How come that the product is unavailable for several month and that THE major music shops in Europe openly admit that they will not have it in future (wile having all other NI products)? I really think that the Komplete Audio 6 is gone...

 

If anybody is looking, (not just complaining) there are plenty in France. There are a lot of AK-1 for sale which I own.

B&H presently says "Expected availability April 10 2012"

Sweetwater says: "It's arriving soon! We've confirmed with Native Instruments that more are on their way."

Musician's Friend says: "Expected to ship April 6"

Amazon.com says "In stock March 24"

Despite the "Only at retailers" comment on the Native Instruments webstore listing, it is now possible to add it to your shopping cart there and it says "Ships in 1-2 days."

To me this does not look like a discontinued product. Rather, it looks like a product that was allowed to go out of stock for a while, perhaps while Native Instruments quietly modified the hardware to correct the "Can't always use two microphones at a time" problem, and that the product is about to start shipping again.
