    Hi Folks,

    I've been using B4 II for a few years on a win xp system. I recently got a win 7 laptop, installed B4 II along with Cubase Studio 4, GVI and MOTU ultralite, and everything ran fine for a month.

    Then, I tried to install an IOMEGA backup software package, and upon restart window wouldn't load. I had to go back to the original factory restore point and reload all my apps.

    Now all my apps work fine except B4. I've installed the service center and activated, but whwnever I launch B4 I get the splash screen that tells me it isn't activated. I've tried reinstalling but it doesn't help.

    I think the only difference between this installation and the previous one that worked is that this time I put the plug-ins in the Cubase VSTplugins directory. But anyway, I can't even get B4 to work standalone.

    Any ideas out there?

    thx

    Welcome =)

    Run B4 as administrator; don't run it with just UAC turned off. The same goes for Cubase.

    Also, if your Cubase plugin folder's in C:\Program Files, this can lead to issues. I've found with both Vista and W7, having your plugin folder out of Program Files cuts down any form of activation, etc. glitch to a minimum.
