    Hi all

As you know NI killed the service center so i am having real hard times to find yout a way to reinstall that plugin on osx Mavericks (10.9.5).
It did worked fine till i had to do a clean install of that osx version.
During all these past years my osx version was updated from Snow Leopard then Mountain Lion to end up with Mavericks without any issues at all.

But now that i made a clean install i cannot authorize it anymore.

I once tought that backuping all folders named Native Instruments + the Mac HD/Library/Preferences as well as the Mac HD/Users/Library/Preferences would do the trick.

Obviously i missed something during my backup or mabe the B4 II authorization is a hidden or invisible file which of course i did not see.

Would you guys have a solution ?

    All the best
    Dominique

    No soloution here.

B4 II is discontinued more than 10 years ago IMHO.

you can't authorize B4 II with Native Access.
Service Center is discontinued since May, 2020.

    Hello Paule,

    thx for shiming in.
Yes i know all that but somehow there must be a way to get out of this.
Obviously i have missed the file where the authorization is registered. My guessings are this one must be invisible somewhere in the MacHD.
So mabe someone knows where that file is (i am hoping so).

Long ago i have used the osx migration tool and it worked fine but that was for a fresh install of Moutain Lion using the Migratio Assistant from another Moutain Lion.

But now i as i cannot choose which app i want to import, i cannot use the Migration assistant because it will import all apps from my Mountain Lion SDD in my Mavericks SSD.
Obviously the authorization file is somewhere in the mac : i just need to knwo where so i can copy it in my new OS

Is it the same hardware with the same OS?
Mostly if you change hardware or OS the old authorize settings don't works.
If you follow my link you can see a Kontakt version of B4.
Myself don't own Kontakt - I'm a Reaktor experimental builder.

have you checked in Native Access to see if it shows up there or have you tried registering it through NA. If that does not work, you could try using Support Chat to see if there is a way to get it registered...

    Account & Registration – Native Instruments (native-instruments.com)

Make sure you use it during the hours listed or you will just get a Bot that will probably not be able to help...during normal hourse there is a real person on the other end.

@ Paule : yes that's the exact same HW, i am still on pro tools HD TDM and as i said before it did work fine with the osx migration assistant long ago.
But the point is if i try to use that method, i don't feel like having to clean up uncompatible apps on my clean install i just did.

@ Blindeddie : nope it does not show up.

    Hello all

just a word to tell you that days ago i did email the NI support but there is no answer from them at all.
My guessings are it's not supported anymore so no need to hurry or even take the time to answer.
Let's not even take care if the owner is in the middle of a workflow...

    But i paid for it.
And that is my right to install it on any compatible osx version and still be using it.
What is the matter with mankind with this planned obsolescence ???

So many understandable things in human behaviour ...

Let face it in the other way : a NI develloper knows where the hidden authorization file is. Why should there be a problem by telling us where that one is??
It's not supported anymore and no one is using outdated equipment (as they say or even believe) so : where is the problem ?

Or have i missed something ?

    Hello
    Nevermind
I have found an old SSD with another version moutain installed. I've cleaned up all unwanted apps including in both Mac HD Library & User Library, Prefs ect ... and launched the Migration Assistant : it worked fine but obviously there is a B4 II hidden authorization file somewhere.
