    Hello,

Loving the product overall, but I am a bit disappointed to hear some "artifacts" in the attacks of the Bechstein model: sounds like the sample start time isn't all the way at the beginning and it's coming in at a non-zero crossover point. Try playing an open C chord (middle C and G) with the pedal down; for me, it happens at random.

It's not overly loud, but it's easily audible on a solo passage (especially if you use any compression). As awesome as this patch is, this makes it useless for exposed/solo piano passages.

This isn't related to any settings as far as I can tell, as it doesn't happen on any other model or plugin. Any thoughts or hopes of a patch? I'd be glad to post samples if anyone cares to hear...

    Thanks!

You could go into the Kontakt programming and adjust the envelope's attack to be 1ms, and this would probably take care of it and not be noticeable at all.

    Hey David,

Good to hear from you. Still in LA? Anyway, yeah, you could probably tackle that in Kontakt's envelope section, but I just thought I'd report the issue since there are definitely some sample artifacts. There are also some pops/clicks in some of the samples (about 1/2 second in) that envelopes obviously won't help...

    Anyway, hope you're well!

    Hey

Sorry to dig this up, but I've just installed AP today. Can others confirm that they also have what I can only describe as non-pure samples on G1, G#1, C2, C#2 and E3 on the Bechstein?

I'm not talking about interference (clicks) etc, simply that the notes don't seem to ring as true on these two keys. I'm sure there's a more technical/musical term for this, but it just sounds like the notes aren't ringing quite true. The samples are mostly underpinned by a shrill, bell-like sound, compared to the other notes, and just sound out-of-place in a scale.

    Any ideas?
