    Hello NI,

I just saw that you are introducing "Official update status" threads. Will there be such a thread for bandstand too?

It's two months now that you promised bandstand not to be dead and I think the product needs corrections.

    Regards,
    Ruediger

Yes, still waiting. The stand-alone app will not load midi files. Nothing.

As a plug-in, it works fine (if somewhat jerky), but there is definitely a problem for some users with loading midi files in the stand-alone mode, and NI said they were looking into it: more than 2 months ago!

Can we please have some action on this.

I also received a promo mail today.

The 'classic keys bundle' would have been interesting (3 months ago... )

Hi there, I have a similar problem with loading MIDI files. I think I know what it is.

The problem is, when starting and quitting BS often on my WinXP SP2 the Bandstand.EXE often keeps im memory (see taskmanager) and a second instance of BS is loaded. If 2 Bandstand.EXE files are loaded I am unable to do a thing with Bandstand (for example loading new midi files, loading instruments, etc.)

Workaround: reboot machine, or kill all Bandstand.EXE files within the taskmanager and then start BS again.

    Hope this works for you!

    Hello NI,

    - Your promise (further development and bugfixes for BANDSTAND) is now 3 months old.
    - Questions about plans for an Official update status thread for BANDSTAND are not answered.
    - You are still selling BANDSTAND at 199 Euros.

    Will you keep your promise?

    Another three months...

Another three months and no movement on enhancements, new releases or upgrades. Hmm. The upcoming Garritan GM product (slated for this month, postponed from 'spring') uses a NI engine, so that seems another reason to believe things aren't looking good re. Bandstand. To borrow a phrase about jazz music, Bandstand isn't dead but it sure smells funny!

Marcus, you said you'd work on Bandstand to fix the problem with it directly opening Midi files.

You've had plenty of evidence from a number of users that the problem exists, and it seems to be related to the 1.0.2 upgrade.

So why have we waited so long? We spent the money and it's in your bank ... you haven't delivered the product.

About time you did so, hey?

    Hello everybody,

Rest assured that Bandstand is not "dead" by any means. I will keep you posted about upcoming updates, but at this point I do not have enough concrete information to post an official update status thread yet. Thanks for your patience.

    Regards, Thomas

    Why no clear target date

I am disappointed that silence has started again.
My simple question to Roger Martin of Native Instruments:

Why don't you give a date (milestone) that you PROMISS
    to present a solution?
In "Software Development Land" it is becoming normal to give support in three phases, not now, not ever, never... Once the box is sold, support is minimal, instead we get bombarded with new stuff to buy...

Try to get Customer satisfaction by addressing their support needs.

Your product-sounds are great but your product-support could be better!

    Regards
    Amarillo

I have already promised that I will follow up with more information as soon as it is available. Ranting and complaining in this thread will not accelerate this in any way. This thread is now closed.
