the record tab in the sample editor have bars & beats as grid on the timeline, where its not even needed. And the edit and slice tabs have the grid only and only in seconds. so cant truncate my sample to a beat. one has to guess how many secs will make how many beats so that the attack doesn't get cut off or something. you have got to be the dumbest people on the planet NI!! my worst mistake in life buying your crap.

    BPM / 60 = BP Sec.
    120/60 = 2
    2 beat per second. / 2
    1 Beat per 0.5 seconds * 4
    a bar (4beats) corresponds to 2 seconds
    not guess but rather mathematics.
really funny is that, with 93.46 BPM ... or other "crooked" BPM information.
However otherwise I think you're right. a simple bars / beats grid would help.

When slicing samples we should have the tempo and bar length option so it gets sliced in the right tempo / bars and then we can select the section or sections that are to be applied to which pad

yes you are right dasoli. but such decimal values will still not give you accurate musical values in beats. It will only be accurate for 60 and 120 bpm.

!myself would prefer a simple grid!
ok, even the other way around
    .
You also can just divide 60 seconds / bpm.
    one beat = X seconds.
    93.46 bpm: 60 / 93.46 =1 beat 0.641985876310 seconds.
    multiplied by 4 =1 Bar 2.567943505242 seconds.
I was now even pedantic exactly.
    Guess is not necessary
;)which is of course much better numeracy everything, if you try eighths or sixteenths to sample.
So again +1 for your suggestion.

A bars and beats grid in the sample editor would be very useful. I hate doing maths while making music !!!

Not sure how this is not a feature at this point. I've been recording a long time but am just getting into sampling and electronic music and this seems essential to creating musical loops from samples.
