Hi, I believe battery 3 has a Master volume, but what I feel would be correct would be not just one volume master level but one volume level (CC-7) for EACH channel through which one is sending data to battery 3.

For instance, I have TWO drum channels: MIDI Ch-9 and Ch-10. For this, I need to set B3 in the "Omni mode". That part works well.

However, I have independent volume sliders for Ch-9 and Ch-10. When I move the slider to set Ch-9 lower, the master volume responds..However, as soon as I touch the slider for Ch-10, then THAT volume slider prevails, doing away with the volume I had set for Ch-9.

If I am wrong on this, please correct me.

Otherwise, I believe this should be a feature of Battery for a next issue or version.

    Thanks for considering this.

Looks like I got a good work-around this:

I now loaded a SECOND instance VSTi of Battery 3, into the host, and I assigned one instance to Ch-9 and the second instance to Ch-10.

No I get sweet separation of volumes and adjustments, so the MIDI data sent is accurately drummed out now.

Yes, in my case, ch-9 and Ch-10 do need independent volumes, since Ch-9 is an "extra" enhancement drums track.

Now, the GOOD thing, is that somehow, there does not seem to be ANY extra load to my system. I load the SAME drum kit to both.

I am hosting them in VSThost, Windows XP, and it seems to me that VSThost (maybe) seems to know that only one loading is needed, because when I added the new VSTi to VSThost, and when I loaded the kit, it "loaded" INSTANTLY.

I will keep checking on this and report back any further findings, if any.
