    Hi,

I've searched on this on the forum and there are a lot of closed discussions, but no solutions posted!

I have recently installed Windows 7. I am trying to load my Abketon Live projects that were created on Win XP prior to the intstall and everything loads fine except for Battery 3.

I get an error message saying:

ERROR parsing input file at line 38508:
    <parse error>
The loaded patch might be corrupt

Then Live crashes. The only way I can load the projects is if I disable the Battery 3 vst, but then I am unable to see which samples were used to create the project.

I realise this might be due to the location of the samples loaded in Battery having been changed, but I wondered if you knew of a solution?

    Thanks for any help,
    Dave

But how did you see what samples you used? It just crashes my session, so I cant see the names of the parts I used. it would be useful if Battery loaded, but just had 'sample missing' and gave me a chance to locate the sample - like how Live 8 does.

    Should it do this, NI?

I'm use in all almost cases, a predeterminate samples. Example: Dance Kit,
    Eletro Acustic Kit, Others. ;)

But you personalize the parts of drums, then it's a problem. When this error ocurred,
not visible the parts of drums. You going recreate the drums of zero. :(

I don't found solution for this problem, or not recreate a drums again.
    I'm use the Cubase 5.

but DELLs hard drive felt down
so I took all sessions to Desk top ( same OS etc)
and at few sessions I see same message abou Battery 3
so what should I do to open my project and use Battery again?

Is probably can you not open your projects in the Battery again.
    But can you try. :(

The solution is create newly your samples in the Battery.
Was i make. Not found a other solution for this problem.
I don't now why this occurs, but is not good. :S

    Thanks for the input guys!

Anyone from NI want to offer a solution?

Surely something needs changing so that Battery doesnt crash when it cant find the samples? Just displaying the sample name with no sample loaded would do!

Is there a fix for this?

    Thanks,
    Dave

    Just in case

I have the same problem when i load Symphony Orchestra .nks files from EastWest into Kontakt 4

... BUT the problem doesn't appear into Kontakt 2 !

It seems to be a compatibility problems with new version of both sample players as far as i can judge !

Yeah, I contacted NI and they said this can happen if your plugin version does not match the stand alone version. This was the case for me so I just had to update both, seems to have fixed the problem now
    :)

    Not necessarily

I've just noticed that both version of Kontakt are exactly the same in my case...

Sorry, I was meaning the Parse Error I got in Battery was fixed by ensuring the VST and standalone versions matched. I guess your issue must be something else... good luck
