    win7x64 x64 plug/host

When loading battery 4 in live 9 it takes a VERY long time and I even get a "not responding" message in the top left corner of the host.

This does not happen with studio one or live 8.4

Anyone else? I'll ask at abe's also.....

Hmm, I just had that happen last night in Live 8.4... although that project still might be using Battery 3. It was unexpected though- took at least 2 minutes to load, and was reporting "Not Responding" in the menu bar as well. I will check to see if I added Battery 4 to that thing recently.

I wonder if it's the "idexing" issue that some people are reporting in live 9 because if I close live and THEN do it again, it seems to work as expected. But, this doesn't happen with any other plugs that I have.

Well, it happened today with reaktor. So now I'm really confused. Is it just live or is there something in the K9 update that is causing this? I'm inclined to believe it's live, and it's not the end of the world or anything. Anyways, I'm guessing not many are having this issue it seems, but UO did say with a previous live version.

The problem I experienced happened under these circumstances. I am a K9U owner who had already done a lot of work in Live 8.4 when I installed Live 9 for the first time a couple weeks ago.

I had been working in Live 9 since then, but the night before I saw your thread, I opened Live 8 and loaded that project for the first time since before I had installed Live 9.

The behavior was exactly the same as you described, with taking crazy long to load, and Live becoming unresponsive for a while... but I have confirmed that subsequent loads are working fine, and that project still only has Battery 3, not Battery 4.

In my case I'm wondering if it's some kind of re-indexing thing that the Live 9 install triggered in my setup. Hasn't happened since.

I had this happen in studio one last night. This is a problem somewhere with K9 though I don't understand why as battery is a .dll. Also, once you open reaktor/battery and it goes through this cycle, it won't do it again until you restart the computer. Something is up here. I'm not technical enough to have a clue why.

Anyone have a fix for this yet? Am using cubase 6.5 and B4 is taking 10 minutes to load. This is the same when I'm using it stand alone too. Have applied the new updates although hasn't made any diff.

    SSSSSSSSSSSSSSSlow

Also slow with Cakewalk Sonar. Both Plugin & Stand alone.

    Win 7 x64, SSD, 12Gg ram

Anyone else having this problem should post also.

Maybe someone in NI will notice;)

Zip - I contacted NI Support they sent me a file that collates system info to report back to them. They were quick to send it and I've sent it back so will see what reply I get and update this thread. You might want to do the same if it as slow as mine is (10 mins).

Mine isn't that slow. But I think I'll contact them anyways.

Again guys, I've discovered that I'm having this ACROSS THE BOARD with K9 plugs. VERY strange.

EDIT, K9 instruments, stuff like Solid Mix is fine.

Sorry to keep replying, but I'm forgetful.

I thought this was a live thing, but what it really is is a first time I launch a K9 instrument plug. Reaktor does this too. Kontakt as well (though that's always been slow for me), massive, FM8......if they are the FIRST thing I launch or the first project I launch, BINGO.

Now, the second time, not so much. In fact B4 launches pretty quickly once I go through the cycle once. It's very strange, and the fact that others are having this AFTER the update says to me it's a prob they need to look at. Again, I'll open a support ticket.

Sent report. Hopefully they are on the case.

    Hi Andywylie,

Have you received a response from NI?

I tried NI's system file thing and sent it in.
They replied with a link to a windows audio tweak page. http://tinyurl.com/7cu4pf9

Being aware of most of the tweaks, I ran the dpclat.exe utility out of curiosity.
The results were as I expected. Not even a hint of latency on my system.

Obviously there is a problem in B4.
Hopefully it will be addressed in a not to distant future update.:D

Wouldn't it be nice to receive a response from NI like,

"Thank you for bringing this problem to our attention. We are currently working on resolving this issue in our next update."

"Also we would like thank everyone currently beta testing B4."
    "Keep up the good work"

    lolz!

I sent them back a response that I need them to work with me on this and that it's obviously a known issue. Ni makes some good stuff but other than transfers (which they excel at) CS leaves much to be desired.

They couldn't sort out my issue, they want to remote log in to my pc and for me to call Germany at the same time. Just not convenient with work and all that, need to wait till am on holiday I guess unless they figure it out otherwise.

I'm having the same issue... It takes forever to initially load and to recall the instrument to edit, etc...

I've had this slow loading/launch of all Komplete programs since the last update of Service Center at the end of November. I searched the forums on this, saw a post saying they noticed the slow launch time was the same as it takes service center to scan the programs when you launch that. Seems connected, though I don't get a slow start with Traktor also on same computer...
    very annoying.
    I'm using Komplete 8 on Win7 (64)
