    Hi,

i don't use bettery 4 alot and now that i load an instance i realise it's always scanning for "items"
if i just colse the window plugin and open it again ... scaning again !
under FILE/PREF/LIBRARY i have no factory library location.. and i can't clic the "add" button to add any.
if i go to user my library i see my personal link to library that is ok. but still.. each time i simply close that window it rescans the entire "items"
i tried to go on the standalone version and it's the same. i reinstalled battery4 from komplete 9 + update... nothing change. maybe there's a shortcut to add in the AppData folder ?

this is crazy can someone help ?
    (windows7x64 / nuendo 6.5.35)

    I can totally help you.

Go to your preferences/library tab and in your USER tab remove your library (libraries). Click Factory Tab. Now close preferences. Battery will now rescan for you and put the factory library where it belongs. Don't click Rescan, just close the window. Hey you got your factory library back in the right place and no more annoying scan on startup!

Now if you had any other custom libraries like Battery 3, open prefs again and go to your USER tab and point to them again, this will only import the samples so you will not see kits in your User library, only Samples. So if your User tab shows nothing you gotta click the Samples tab next to kits and viola!

    :)

No problem, I've been a nerd for NI software for a decade now and I have pretty much done everything wrong at least once, so I can usually help. :)

A 4 year old post and this is still the best solution I've found. ;)

I did exactly this, the user library is removed but Battery is still scanning the library EVERY TIME I open it up....

I find a way... just give up on Battery... and most Ni synths coming out from last decade. I feel Ni is really loosing it's prestige where years ago I would buy new komplete with not even looking at it.. now reaktor blocks, kontakt.. done. I don't use anything else from them as the library management became so lame, tag presets is gone, midi learn is voer and listening to users goes to the toilet.
