Seriously why get rid of this?
Do you have checked the display driver? Whats your setup?
Not sure what a display driver is.
I'm on a new macbook air 2ghz i7 8g ram running 10.8.3
and using ableton live 9
when you mouse over the amp box the waveform disappears and the amp env appears...they aren't up at the same time
The correct option in preferences is checked (draw envelope and lfo curves when adjusting)
Display driver would have nothing to do with this. Perhaps NI dropped it or hid the enable button for it has moved somewheres?
Yeah, it's gone. A really dumb idea ti drop it.
That's a shame -- the envelope lines were very useful visual feedback.
I also wish the control settings would not be brightly lit when the volume or pitch envelope parameters were not active.
Here's day 1 wishlist for 4.1 to add back v 3 features!
Balls. It pretty much makes the adsr display useless. Why get rid of this? Irritating. Bring it back NI!
Good news -- I was incorrect in my previous post.
The Envelope lines are there - both for Volume Envelope and Pitch Envelope. To see them, you must hover over envelope controls, the waveform area switches to envelope lines. They just don't simulateously overlay the waveform. However, it's easy enough to visually see where it affects the wave.
Good that they are still there; kind of stupid you have to hover over some control. What if you're switching between cells, trying to see if envelopes visually match? Mouse up, switch cells, mouse down over a control, switch cell, repeat the whole dance. Carpal tunnel here we come.
+1 Bring back the volume envelope overlay. This is a really useful feature!
