    Hello,

My Battery 4 is extremely slow at going through sample directories.

When browsing samples under "Files" tab, it takes several seconds for me to open folders. It becomes especially a nuisance when browsing libraries with multiple directories, going in and out of each folder takes several seconds and distracts me from my creative flow.

I havent used B4 in a while but, im positive it wasnt like this in when i first used it in Komplete 9U. B3 is working fine.

Is there a way for me to fix this?
Is this a problem from on a recent update?

    Best,

    Sys Info:
    Windows 10 - 64 bit
    Cubase 8.0.4 - 64 bit
    Battery 4 - 64 bit - 4.15.254
    SSD OS & Sample Library

    • Have you already checked if it's the same when using Battery standalone?
    • Is the behavior the same when browsing a different (non-library) folder. Or a folder which doesn't have a large amount of sub-folders or files in it?
    • Does this browsing behavior occur always. Or only sometimes (like only the first time)? Because in the second case it might probably be that the hard drive is in hibernation and needs some time to wake up first ...

Otherwise contact NI support directly about this: http://www.native-instruments.com/en/company/contact-ni/

    • Yes, even in standalone mode.
    • I opened directories in non-library folders and drives (desktop), both without any sub-folders, but the problem is still there.
    • The browser behavior occurs always. I have my power plan set so it will not hibernate. The +"Hard disk", +"Turn off hard disk after" setting is on "Never".
I just sent NI support an email :)
