Battery 4 no sound in Reaper

Hello. I am having some problems with Battery 4 in Reaper on a PC. I have not used this plugin yet, so I am not aware of it ever working correctly. I have not had any problems with any other NI plugins. It seems specific to this plugin. Here is the problem. I set yo a virtual instrument track and load Battery 4. I can get the samples in Battery and I hear the sound which I mouse click the box. I hit record and midi notes appear in my daw. However, when I play the midi track back, there is no activity or sound. It seems the midi notes are not carrying any of the data from Battery. As a test, I added a differnet sampler to the same track and loaded the same sample. It worked just fine. Battery 4 has some nice features though that I would like to use. Any ideas what is going wrong on my set up? Happy to answer any questions. Thanks!

Just making sure: are you sure you're hitting the right keys? Battery doesn't respond to every keypress.

 

Thanks! I wondered about this too. I am playing in a very middle octave. It is not reading any of that data. I think this may not be the issue, but good thought.
