Now I have a useless Battery icon in the INSTRUMENTS section of my Maschine. I call it useless because when I try to use anything within that Battery icon it says "Battery could not be loaded", which makes perfect sense because I don't even have the demo version of Battery installed. Having said all that, my main complaint is that the icon should not even appear in my INSTRUMENTS until I actually have Battery installed. Don't fool me into thinking that I now have Battery installed just because my expansions are now "Battery-ready". I reckon the next update will fix this. Thank you.

Are there any updates in Native Access for Battery? Are you using Windows or Mac?

Like I said, I don't even have a demo version of Battery installed, so there SHOULDN'T be updates for Battery showing up in my Native Access. And they aren't. I'm using Windows.

If you go in to each Expansion, delete the Battery Kits folder and do a library rescan in Maschine, the Battery icon will be removed.
    Yeah a PITA.

    Cheers mate, I´ll try it.

Edit: Didn´t work for me. The Battery Icon is gone now, but I also can not select the Expansions.

What do you mean by selecting expansions? Are you sure you only deleted Battery Kit folders?

BTW: There should be a subtag for Battery kits that are taken from Expansions because it clutters the heck out of the browser, basically we see a list with kits that we also have as Maschine Group and the normal Battery (exclusive) Kits... that's annoying.

me thinks the expansions were premature of a free battery player. seems you just have to ignore it until it is fixed if you do not have battery or komplete.

one thing maschine is missing is a hide function like kontakt for libraries you do not use. it also needs a "park" function so you can keep the paths active, but not have it rescan if the "parked" libraries are not available due to them being on say an external disc that i not mounted for the particular project.

I was annoyed about this at first. But if you begin to type the expansion name, it narrows the kits down. I could deal with that until the next update.

It's the other way around, I only want to see Battery kits and not kits converted from my expansions. All the kits from expansions are cluttering my kits that were actually made for battery. :S

Since now there are expansion content in the Instruments browser section in it needs an Expansion Category just like Groups, Samples, Etc... This would also open expansions to have content for other instruments in the future.

So how does one get rid of the "Battery could not be loaded" error? I get it on all Kit loads now.

Yes, only the Battery Kit folders...

All instruments -> Battery -> Lazer Dice -> double click one Kit -> Error message like Andreas

Oh... I Just noticed there are Banks under Instruments/Battery so i guess my previous comments about the clutter can be disregarded.
Wait I'm confused now, do you guys also don't have Battery installed like the OP?

Have you removed the battery kits and rescanned your library?

Oh sorry you had already said that above, i missed it, my bad.
That's odd... So if you select for example Instruments>Massive and you don't see the Expansions under Banks? Like so:

Maybe I am getting something totally wrong...Under Massive I see the Expansions, but not alone as an Instrument under this Group "All Instruments" (when I deleted the Battery folders). All the Kits I can find under the tab "Battery" I can preview the Kits but can not load them.

that has to be a mistake by the installer as it should look to see if battery is installed before installing these, or there should have been a provided battery player before these were released. very bad to have your library full files you cannot open mix in with ones you can. the same thing would happen if you did not install the free massive or kontakt and reaktor players for those respective files.

i am thinking battery will become included with maschine in version 3.0 and integrated to use jam to play the cells, so you could create groups in maschine and then export them to battery for less redundancy in the plug-in DAW function. bring back the patterns and pattern user directory.

To see expansions in the Instruments tabs you first must select an Instrument, it doesn't work the same as the Groups Tab for example.

Not sure why they are showing up if you deleted them, that's really odd, especially since the preview files are in Expansion/Sounds/Battery/Kits/Preview (it's a hidden folder)
If you deleted those folders Maschine shouldn't have any preview files to read.. so they must be there.

I'll test this when i can to make sure.
