Battery Maschine Expansion Complaint

Maybe so... But 99% of the userbase will install the free synths and instruments that come with Maschine (Massive, Prism, Etc...)
I wouldn't like to have things overcomplicated because of the tiny minority.

 

I justed tested it. Deleting all "Battery Kits" folders under /Expansion-Name/Sounds/ gets rid of the Kontakt Icon in the Browser Instrument tab and works perfectly fine, no issues.

Odd thing I noticed: Maschine Groups do not have previews like Battery Kits but their folders do contain a hidden preview folder, so I am not sure whats going on but deleting the Battery Kit folders is unrelated to this issue.

Yes, "sadly" no previews under the "All Groups" tab.

 

Not sure what all should be there - but in Battery Standalone I dont seem to see anything new after installing all those expansions and scanning it.
It would be nice to have a view of all expansions like in Maschine

or an alternative would be to load Maschine Kits with MIDI In in the Group area set to Drumkit Mode so they can be played from an external DAW
At least thats what I would want to see those kits in Battery for.

 

There's a simple solution to this problem: NI gives all Maschine owners a free copy of Battery 4
