I would love to see NI put an Arpeggiator in Battery! And not just a simple Arpeggiator, but preferably one that has the following features:

    1. Preset Arpeggiator Patterns Menu
    2. Custom Arpeggiator Menu - This is where you can save your own or load in arpeggiators that you might have downloaded off the Internet.
    3. Rate Feature - Different rates would be nice 1/32 to 1/2 and etc..
    4. Accent Rate - I find this feature to be really important as it gives it more of a Human feel.
    5. Swing Feature
    6. Shuffle Feature
    7. Octave Feature
    8. Note Play Order - This could range from playng chords, playing down, playing up, or even random.
    9. Arpeggiator MIDI Notes Recorded - This is a neccesity, to be able to take the arppegiator and record the notes as MIDI
    10. Use a different Arpeggiator Per Cell - You should be able to do a differetn Arpeggiator per cell just like you can adjust the params of each cell.

Thats my suggestion. I hope they do it cause in my opinion it will be best drum program out there!

Instead of an arpeggiator I would rather like to see some sort of sequencer. Something similar to the Drum Editor in Cubase (you know - like a list with the drum cells' names and a dedicated sequencer which gives you kind of a step sequencer feeling). I can imagine it showing up instead of the Cell Matrix when you'd switch a button. I'd like to have an amount of 8 - 12 different sequences that could be routed to certain keys (all white keys of a fixed octave or every key on that octave for instance) once Battery is turned into "Sequence Mode". I think, with the Kontakt 2 scripting (Battery is based on Kontakt 2, I hear) that doesn't seem a problem - only a redesign of the GUI would be neccessary.

    (Hear that, developers!!! ;))

I say stick with the arpeggiator. This will allow you to record nice hihat patterns and more. When Battery is used as a plugin I don't think I would want another sequencer when I already have one.

...no, sequencer! with a velocity control similar to Reaktor's Massive. :p
