battery to kontak

    Will it be possible to take battery patches and load them into kontakt?

    Kontakt will be able to import and completely reproduce all Kits made with BATTERY.

    So kontakt has all of the features of Battery?

    Does that mean that there will be an upgrade path for Battery owners?

    battery sampler engine update?

    will the battery sampler enigine get updated? i heard that the kontakt sampler enigine came from battery, but optimized.

    If Kontakt can take battery drumkits, and it also has integrated step sequencers, then does that mean that Kontakt can act as a standalone drum machine ? :)

    And I assume that in that case you could easily resample the sequence ?

    Although Kontakt is able to import Battery kits, this does not mean that Kontakt is based on the same audioengine or code like Battery. Kontakt is written completely new which means it is a different product. So there will be no upgrade path for existing Battery owners, sorry.

    Kontakt will have a simple Midifile-Player but does not have an integrated Midi-sequencer. But !: is has the above mentioned 32-step sequencer module which can be routed to almost any parameter of all other audio modules (except midi noteon), e.g. route this modulator to master tune and cutoff of a filter and you´ll have a nice sequence made out of a simple one-note-sample.
