    Yeah the maximizer is awesome! I used the software version for a while before getting the hardware. I think Steve Boyett here uses one too.

    Hmm well.. I use the audio 8. I find the audio to be flat or stale you could say... I saw one for a good price but I am not sure if it will make a big difference audio quality wise... I was seriously thinking about adding it to my current setup.

    macbook pro--->audio 8-->djm 800---> 2x tech m3d's 2 cdj 800 mk2's-->krk 8's w/ 4x10"subs

    Cheers!

    Sorry, I don't even know wudditiz. I use Waves L3 Multimaximizer for normalizing, mostly.

    ... Ive never delved into the sonic maximizers features. What exactly does it do? Dynamics-wise? Phil - What do you notice about the sound that comes out of this gear.

    this is a hardware unit ive been considering adding to my master channels. AFter the PA mixer and mains recording AD. From the AD it(stereo or mono sound) would travel via aes into the the maximizer and then into the sound system controller x/over where it would then be out put to proper amplification channels.

    I like it for its high quality DAs more than anything.

    Right now Im using a dbx sub bass synth and 160a compressor with eq triggering on the mains channel. this gives a nice extended bass response. But its complicated. The bbe seems like a pretty popular solution.
