You're talking about 2 types of sound cards.
    1. ASIO BCD3000
    2. INCORPORATED sound card

When you use the BCD3000 as your sound card, then you shouldn't use any other at the same time.
Leave your BCD3000 ASIO drivers in STANDARD mode, not in Advanced mode.

    OK. So far, so good.
Now, I write the guide in "dummy" style, to avoid any mistakes.

In BCD3000 audio setup, choose monitoring at channels 3+4, master at 1+2, and choose BCD3000 ASIO as sound card.
Monitoring goes by pushing one or both CUE buttons on your BCD3000 (under the FX Control buttons section).
The dial Phones Mix (under the Master Output dial) sets the balance between the master sound and the monitoring sound over your headphones.
Of course, monitoring goes by the phones connector at the front of your BCD3000.

    Example:
Master Output connectors are connected to your power amplifier.
Gain settings of Deck A and Deck B are in the middle position.
Volume sliders of Deck A and Deck B are in the middle or louder position.
Deck A is playing over the speakers.
Cross fader is completely set to the left.
You start playing another song in Deck B.
You push the CUE B button.
You open the Phones Volume a bit.
You set the Phones Mix dial in the middle position.

Now you should hear playing deck A over the speakers.
You should hear a mix of the master output and Deck B over your headphones.
When turning the Phones Mix dial to the left, you will hear only the sound of Deck B.
When turning the Phones Mix dial to the right, you will hear only the sound of the master output.

When you didn't change anything in your MIDI settings from the standard settings, this should work correctly.

    Let me know.

    Greetz,
    Arno

hhhmmmm i get it...but my problem seems to be with my soundcard...some guys told me that i need a multichannel soundcard....i made all the steps you told me but when i choose BCD3000 ASIO i just get the sound at the phones...i should listen the sound of deck A at the speakers, but it plays at phones and when i push the CUE button it plays the deck B music at phones too :S

at the back of the bcd i aint got nothing linked at Master output connections...those white and red holes....thats for amplificator? i aint got one :O lolol

    sorry for beeing dummy :$

Did you ever read the manual?
Don't you know that the BCD3000 has a build-in 4-channel sound card? So you DON'T need an extra sound card!
You only connect the BCD3000 to your computer via the USB connection, nothing more.
You connect the BCD3000's Master Output to your amplifier.
You connect your headphones to the BCD3000's PHONES output at the front.
    That's all.

In the future, please read the manual better before asking here.
Many of us here get really tired of people who're asking anything without thinking or doing some effort themselves.

At last, I'm glad for you that your system is now working properly.

I have the same problem.... Do you need stereo amplifier in order to listen music in headphones and computer speakers. I only have computer speakers. I tried everything i have said before and still i cant hear nothing and even BCD controls dont work. But controls work with my native computer soundcard but i cant prelisten music in my headphones. Please a noob guide will be VERY appreciated. I got BCD3000 for 3 days and still cant set it right.......

    What did you say before?
    This is your first post:confused:

    What controls do you mean?
The BCD3000's controls work with either the build-in sound card or the computer sound card.
The controls are only dependent of the software's midi and/or hot key files.

Please, read the manuals (how many times do we have to repeat this?).
Your 'problems' are very well explained in the manuals of the BCD3000 and Traktor.

I meant you, i mistyped it.

Ok ill explain better my problems.

When i switch to BCD3000 ASIO in "change souncard" and set input and outmaster u have said before (ch1,2 Outmaster; 3,4 out phones). Sound doesnt come out of my computer speakers and headphones. BCD3000 knobs dont work too. Even if i press PLAY with my mouse on the screen, track not playing. In other hand when i switch to my computer soundcard. BCD knobs work just fine. I can listen to music as well. But i cant prelisten music in my headphones so listeners wont hear it. Headphones play the same sounds as my speaker. Phones pluged into CD ROM jack.

I cant figure out ways to play the music right. I've tried many different options and still cant get it right.

Believe me I've read all the topics regarding sound problems here and nothing helps me to solve my problem.

May be i need to get this amp and real speakers, but i prefer my PC speakers for now.

I really need to get it work! Thank YOU!

if the tracks dont play and the waveform doesnt move, then there is something wrong with the audio setup.

please post a picture from the preferences > audio setup > soundcard of traktor and the available options.

First, let me explain something about sound cards, because it is clear that many users don't understand this.
When you use the BCD3000 ASIO drivers in your Traktor settings, then the BCD3000 IS the sound card, nothing more.
It's just like using an external 4-channel sound card.
In this case, you have to use the phones output of the BCD3000 to pre-listen, and the Master Output connectors of the BCD3000 to connect to an external amplifier or directly to computer speakers. In the case of computer speakers, you might need an adapter for the connectors.
But, you most likely want to connect the Master Output of the BCD3000 to your Line In of your computer.
In this case you don't have to disconnect your computer speakers from your computer.
This could be difficult, because you already have chosen to use the BCD3000 as your sound card.
This means that (in most cases) your computer won't allow a second sound card to be used at the same time.
It depends very much of your computer's sound card and drivers if this could work.
A possible set-up is as following:
    - Computer's sound card is 5.1 (or more) multi-channel (internal or external).
    - You might need ASIO drivers to use this sound card.
    - BCD3000's sound card set-up must be set to use the external sound card.
    - Experiment with the connections and settings of the sound card to get what you want.
In this case, The BCD3000's sound card doesn't work, so the pre-listening should also be done by the other sound card.

If you need more how-to details, I need to know what sound card you have at least.
And are you running a PC or MAC? Desktop or laptop?

native_girl is right (of course, who knows it better;) )
In this case you assigned the wrong settings in your audio set-up.
I suppose you haven't chosen the "BCD3000 ASIO" as your sound card.

That is the easiest solution to get it work the way it is meant to.

your making such a valid point here - being somewhat focused on a *live* setup (master from the controller going to an amp), i didnt think of that possibility and its possible problems...
