I have the BCD3000 and it included a version of Traktor 3 LE, which
work very well together. I just want to make sure that if I upgrade to
Traktor Duo my BCD3000 will still work with it as well as it does now? And is
there anything special I would need to do? or do I just download and install
it and it's ready to go?

    Thank you,
    J. Gibson

I think the only problem/challenge/issue you will face is that the mapping of the BCD3000 will be different in Duo. For example, the mapping of the BCD3000/3 LE is very well laid out in my opinion. When I upgraded to Pro, there are more features such as chained effects, filters, etc.... that the default BCD3000 mapping doesn't fully address. In my case, I added another midi controller (Akai mpd18) to my BCD3000 for "extra buttons". In short, what I'm trying to say is after you upgrade, you may find yourself wanting more knobs and buttons then the BCD3000 has.

I hope that makes sense. Don't get me wrong, I love my BCD3000. My main gripe after the upgrade is I have to use the mouse to change effect parameters when using chained effects.

Ok, thanks. So other than the effects, pretty much all the other controls work the same?

Yep. Everything else works great (Pitch faders, sync buttons, jog wheels, crossfader, channel faders, pitch bend buttons, bass, mid, high knobs/kill buttons, gain, key, headphone cue all work great). Notice I didn't mention the "Scratch" button. I'll leave that topic alone, I'll just say I don't use those buttons....hmmm I should map them to something else :)

There is one thing I just remembered. The Loop/Re-Loop buttons. In Pro, there isn't a way to change the length of the loop from the BCD3000. I use the default BCD3000 .tsi (LE version) and the Loop button activates a 1 beat loop. The Re-Loop button activates a 4 beat loop. I haven't figured out a way to change the loop length from the BCD3000 yet.

As far as effects go, I have my decks set to chained effects. You may have better control over the effect parameter if you use "advanced" effects mode, but I really haven't played with it too much yet.

Also, if you are interested, there are several custom BCD3000 mappings floating around on here and other forums (djtechtools). I like the default mapping, so I haven't tried any of the others.

Great, thanks. One more question, I could only find a demo download of Traktor Pro, is that the same as Traktor Duo? I downloaded the Pro demo and everything worked except there was no crossfader slider or volume sliders visible (weird) and I had no control over them? Is this something to do with the demo version? Also, deck B would play fine, but I could not get any sound out of it (maybe because I could not control the cross fader or volume faders)? Any suggestions? Are there any higher system requirements than required with Traktor 3 LE?

    Thanks!

I need help installing BCD3000 and Traktor. This what i did and now i'm stuck:

System: Windows 7, 64 bit (normal and x86 Program Files folder)

    1. Installed Traktor Pro 1.2.1 (to the x86 folder)
    2. Installed ASIO4ALL v2
    3. Plugged in BCD3000 (Windows recognized it as BCD3000 and told me it was ready to use)
    4. Installed BCD3000 drivers
    5. Opened Traktor Pro> set ASIO4ALL as my audio device > Output Routing Master and Monitor to BCD3000 > added BCD3000.tsi to Controller-Manager.

Now I can play both decks and BCD3000 all works well as long as I use my mouse to handle the controls. But my BCD3000 has no influence on anything! The lights on the BCD3000 light up when I select for example "sync" with my mouse.

Does anyone know how I can get my BCD3000 to handle the controls?
