    Hi ya all!

i have suddenly, a problem with bcd3000 connected to traktor scratch pro! I was using EXT in B for quite a while now using it as a external source of music, everything was working fine, but yesterday i used it, end the left input from EXT IN B is producing very crackling sound and distortion. I thought maybe is this connected somehow to traktor audio setup? i tried different setting.. but nothing helped.
Has anyone had the same problem?

i would appreciate some help! thanks! :)

Which operating system? Tried to adjust the latency?

    hello mike!

Yeah, i know, already checked it is not latency, cause i had no problems before and i turned it to max AND when i use the midi controller it is actually working fluently. Only the external in A and B are not working properly (meaning they produce a heavy distorted crackling audio). Yes, i tried also EXT A and on L and R the audio is distorted. On ext B only the R the L is working normal.

So i dont know what happened... but today i will ask a friend to come over, we will test the controller on his laptop.. will see if on the end the BCD is defect. :(

But i hope there is something with the audio drivers, cause lately i instaled several different audio cards on my laptop,, maybe it was too much for it..

will post in the evening, what i DID found out.

Let, me know if you have any other idea?

    Thanks Mike!

But you know that the external inputs are PHONO inputs (Input B can be switched to line level)? You should never connect a line source to a Phono input.

    hi mike!

yes i know, but as you said the ext B can be used as a line, and i was using it all the time now with no problems. So i tested on another computer and it is the same problem there, same crackling sound in the left input channel.

So i took apart the whole bcd3000, every screw. And there is nothing i can do, but right now i think it is a hardware failure... probably a resistor for the left channel.
But i hardly understand how there can be a hardware failure like this so suddenly.

too bad, i wanted to use the bcd as a mixer. Everything else is working fine though i can still use it for mixing two tracks. I thinks there is nothing i can do.

    Anyways, thanks for help mike!

Maybe there is a soldering problem. Do you eventually still have warranty?

most likely it is something like that yes, maybe the chip for inputs has to be replaced! But i don't have warranty anymore. Too bad. But thanks for your hints!
