    hello everyone,

i've been looking around on this forum for a solution to my issue with no luck so far. here's the lowdown:

    macbook
    1 gb 667 mhz ddr2 sdram
    2 ghz intel core duo
os x version 10.4.11 (all audio and main updates current)

traktor 3 le (came with bcd3000)
    behringer bcd 3000

the bcd 3000 master output is running rca cables directly into my stereo's rca input.

everything starts out perfectly...but it's about 20-30 minutes into a set that everything starts falling apart. at first a slight degradation starts working its way into the track. this becomes worse and worse over the course of just a few minutes as the distorted popping and crackling reaches a level causing the music to be unlistenable. can someone please help me to solve this problem?

    thank you very much,
    squidot

    Ha! Know the solution... :D

When you have opened Traktor LE go into the Audio/Midi settings, then to aggregated device and set the clock of the BCD3000 Agg to the outputs. This should help. ;)

    mikesilence,

thank you for your quick response. i just registered and updated my le to the latest version 3.3.1. i'm still having the same issue and i'm checking where you are pointing me:

    1. the preferences in le don't show any such settings for the clock of the bcd3000.

    2. if you are refering to my mac's audio/midi setup i have also been there with no luck. my default input is set to built-in input. my default and sytem outputs are set to built-in output. i have an area where i can select the properties for: bcd3000 (aggregated) and there is a clock source box right underneath it however it is greyed out and reads default so i am unable to change it.

also if you are refering for me to do this in my mac's audio/midi setup why would i need traktor le open? btw i do have it open as i'm looking at this. my apologies, it's just that your instructions are a bit vague on where i should be exactly. any other ideas?

oh and it seems as though when i updated to the latest version of le all of the lights on the bcd3000 stopped functioning. also, le used to show the track time played as well as the track time remaining, however this upadate now only shows time remaining. i've looked in the settings and dont see anything on this. is there a way to add the time played in again? i would love for this thing to work as it's my first digital/mp3 dj experience from vinyl and cd and i really can't see myself going back at this point...i just need it to work first :)

    thanks much.

    Hi!

    1. these preferences are not in Traktor LE

    2. Yes, I refer to these. But the aggregated device is only there when Traktor LE runs. It is created automatically by Traktor LE. When you have open the audio/midi settings go to the taskbar on the top, choose audio -> aggregated device.

Regarding the time views you should ask native_girl...

hooray i think it's finally working! thanks for your help mike. after trying for quite sometime i finally see what you were refering to. for anyone else who is having the same issue and using os 10.4.x (11 in my case) here is exactly what i did to solve the problem:

this is with the behringer running rca cables from the master out to my stereo.

    1. open traktor le and minimize it.

    2. open mac hard drive/applications/utilities/audio midi setup.

    3. click on audio devices at the top.

    4. system settings as follows:

    default input: built-in input
    default output: bcd3000 (aggregated)
    system output: built-in output

    5. select properties for: bcd3000 (aggregated) and click on configure device

    6. a new window will pop up with a list of devices. there should be a bcd3000 output and input with check boxes next to them both of which should be checked.

    7. click in the clock button for the bcd3000 output (which is designated by a number appearing in the out column.

after doing this i played for more than an hour with no audio issues :)

btw i decided to just re-install le 3.1.3 (from the disc) since i just like the interface better. firstly, i like how it displays the track played and remaining times simultaneously. secondly, all of the led lights on the bcd3000 work with this version. ;)

im excited to finally be able to get some practice in...now for the daunting task of organizing my massive amount of recently downloaded tracks. sometimes being so eclectic gives me a headache.

    thanks again for your help.

    Behringer Issues - Macbook 10.5.4

I have exactly the same problems as listed here, but the fix does not work for me (although unlike carloscarbonell, with me it's still 20 minutes).

Followed the instructions to the letter - still getting glitches after 20 minutes.

Has anyone logged this with NI?

Did you also switch the clock to the outputs in "aggregated device"?

no master sound - please help - going insane.

Hey, I followed these steps but now I have no master sound.
    My setup is as follows:

    Macbook pro 10.5
    2.4Gh
    2Gb ram
    taktor LE
    audio output: RCA to hifi
    bcd3000 (bought new yesterday)

double checked everything like a ravenous madman. everything was working fine earlier today, then I started to get the crackling glitchy sounds mentioned above. i followed the steps for midi setup and now i don't have master sound. by the way headphones are working AOK.

That is exactly how I have set it up. I got home from work last night, fired up the system and it worked! Left it for 20mins and again no master sound. An hour later turned everything back on and it worked again. I have no idea what is going on. I HAVE disabled all power saving and screen saver. I turn it all on is in this order: Hifi, BCD, mac/portable hard drive. Every time I have issues I'm triple checking everything to ensure it's all connected to the correct port etc. Any ideas?

Did you update to 10.5.5? Or did you not activate LE and it is still in demo mode? :D
