    hi.

    I have a Dell inspirion 1545 Laptop.
    2gb Ram
    Dual core t3400 @ 2.16ghz

I have traktor pro and i use it with a BCD3000 midi controller.

The problem i have is that the sound when playing a deck, sometimes stutters. like a little pause.
Its not a huge stutter. but i got this laptop to use when i play at live gigs, however the stuttering makes it out of the question and unsuitable for live use.

    Things ive tried:

Ive tried changing the Latency in BCD control panel.
Ive closed every program that was running.
Ive tried disabling my wireless internet.
Ive tried taking my battery out.
Ive also updated my BIOS and Chipset drivers.

Ive seen other people with worse spec laptops that run Traktor with no problems.

So if someone can help me fix this issue, I will be very gratefull!
    thanks in advance

Did you also deactivate Antivir and Firewall? Deactivate the ACPI-conform control method battery?

But you really have the latest driver? 1.2.0.0?

hi i have the same problem,
    xp sp3, behringer bcd3000, asus a6000 notebook (1.12gb ram, amd sempron 3000+ at 1.8ghz)
    traktor pro latest update
    with latest asio-drivers 1.2.0.0 installed
i got an pcmcia card (NEC-usb-chip) to get around the onboard sis-chips
and i followed every guide on tweaking i could find,
    which includes
deactiving/disabling networking/modem devices (i personally deativated every device not needed for running the system one by one to see if the problems is caused by any of these..),
acpi-conform control method battery and antivirus software
setting background tasks to be prefered (system preferences)
checking with dpclat (DPC Latency Checker) (which is <500us in general and doesnt get over 1000us even when i un-/plug usb-devices like my external hdd)

i'm really stuck, can anyone give a clue on how i could analyse these dropouts further? like a debugger for system calls or whatever

p.s.:asio4all works even worse, as in more and longer drop-outs,
strange behaviour there: whenever the sound drops out again and i click 'restore default settings'
in asio4alls settings menu the audiostream continues, as if i could skip the drop-out by a few seconds...

Does it work with the on-board USB ports?

there's actually no difference, regarding the stuttering, between the nec-controller and the on-board sis ones

Asus K50ij Traktor BCD2000 High DPC Latency

    Hi,

Got a new Asus K50ij notebook with Traktor Light and a usb BCD2000 which results in a extremely high DPC Latency. There is a big delay and tried several disablings though without any success.

    Anybody an idea?

    Thanks

    Mark

    @lugorr
it seems that this laptop has problems with its usb controller, for audio purposes only.

    @mjschuuring
BCD2000 does not work with actual laptops as the driver only supports Windows upd to XP.

Yes I'm having this issue also on my Hercules RMX. Is there a fix yet?

I too am using the Hercules RMX + Traktor 3 w/ Gateway AMD 2ghz, 1gb RAM. And I get freezes, stutteres & audio drop-outs. Also the every-now-and-again "Traktor must shut down, sorry..."

Then I noticed that traktor uses all CPU (%100) in task manager, especially when analizing a track. But the traktor CPU meter stays static, like alls good.

But i'm rambling on...yes, a fix would be nice.
