    Hi,

I have been using the new Loop Machine, it's very cool, but for live use we are trying to work out a MIDI sync solution. I was wondering if there was a way that hitting record would start with a count-in before the actual loop recording starts, and hitting record/play would start playback exactly on the beat. Also, the sync function doesn't seem to work as I imagine it would, which is largely the same as detailed above, but without the count-in.

The looper works great in general, if I could just figure out how to work it with a beat sync, live use would be a synch. I personally find the manual a little sketchy on this front. If anybody could chime in with their experience/tips, it would be very much appeciated!

    Hi,

For the 'SYNC' mode of the Looper to be activated, the Metronome should be on.
Then you can record a 8 beat loop, stop at the end of the 4th beat, wait for 7 beat and when hitting Play, Looper will resume from start of 4th beat.

For the count in, I can only provide a workaround.
Assign the 'Record' switch to the 'Mute' of the metronome.
Edit the range so that the lowest setting is above 50%.
Now every time you hit the Record button, the metronome will be muted.

Assign another switch to the Mute, and repeat steps above, but with the highest value being less than 50%. A good idea would be to re-use the 'TAP' switch, since you probably want to hear the metronome when you set a new tempo.

Now, when you'll tap in your tempo, Metronome will be unmuted, and you'll hear the click.
At the second you'll hit the record switch, metronome will be muted.

On a side note, it might be best to put the mute on the 'Stop' in order to have the tempo during the recording to make sure you're 100% on beat. But if you're good enough to keep the tempo flawlessly, then Play/Record is good too.

    Cheers
