I've been having trouble with this particular track that I'm trying to get the beatgrids on the wave graphic. I've read the topics that are on the website and I can't find the topic for my issue. I've watched youtube videos and can't figure it out. basically no matter what I do, I can't put the beatgrids on the wave. I get it lined up in one area and not in the other, I go to that area and line it up and want back to the other area that I just lined up and it's not lined up. Any suggestions?

    Thanks

What kind of music is it? It is possible that there is tempo drift in the song, or that the style of music is such that the gridpoints won't be the loudest points in the track.

Try to set two or more beatgrid markers at those points where the BMP are shifting and line up the betas in those areas. You might have a hickup is beats then, but it works. You possible need to resync after passing the second (or third) gridmarker.

It sounds like the tempo is not analysed correctly. This can happen; the automation is far from perfect. Also, it might be that the tempo is not constant during the song. If there is a "human element" (ie. live drummer) involved, this is often the case (since humans are actually not that good at keeping the tempo stabile).

I'll try multiple markers then. I forgot to tell you that I ripped it from vinyl but this is the first vinyl song I've had issues with.

    Thanks for your help

There may be a scratch in the recording that messes up the tempo -- try to go through the track slowly to see where the grid drops off. Or if there is a breakdown sometimes they don't come back to the count, and the bpm could even change -- you can use a bpm counter to calculate whether the bpm later in the track is different from earlier.
