Before I set up a Giga computer...

Will Kontact have key switching or at least velocity switching shortly? This would mean 1 less computer to maintain. I currently use Kontact on a Mac with DP. Very nice indeed.

Actually, I was more concerned about translating the Giga switching to Kontact.
Would I be better off translating the giga format to ESX-24 via translator and then importing to Kontact?

I don't see why it shouldn't. I don't own Gigastudio anymore, so I can't do an A/B compare.

 

My understanding is that something similar to Key Dynamics will be included in the 1.2 update. Here's an excerpt from the NI newsletter I got today:

At the beginning of January 2003, the Direct From Disk
extension plus the update 1.2 for KONTAKT will be available
as download: large samples can then be played directly from
the hard disk. The update 1.2 will add new and highly
professional features, such as release trigger, key
activator and much more.

my problem

I registered and left the scene without downloading what I needed at that time (I am being made to feel),am now as yet unable to access;also are you still supposed to have to use the mac download for windows? as I read on the only links on my download page one of each line's "whats this"?? thanks
