Ahh, I figured it out (I forgot to click "always active" in the Properties of the Midi CC out. I'd delete this thread but perhaps somebody else might find it useful one day..)

    Hello guys.

I decided to blow the dust off some ensemble work I started a few years back and all has been going good (it's basically an elaborate ambient soundscape generator based on filtered white noise and Sine FM oscillators). However, I tried to do some midi automation and ran into a wall:

First off, I apologize for the lack of a screen shot. If necessary I will try to get one but the Mac I'm using is pre-wifi and I'm not even sure what the screen shot command is in the early OS X builds. That said, my question is easy:

I have a midi automation (via CC) structure that I added to my operational patch. It's intended to be autonomous -- it's an event table sequencer driven by internal clock that feeds into a Midi CC output module. This structure works.. the catch is, I can't get it to stay "ON" unless I attach the Event table's output to something else in my original structure (i.e. like Reaktor 101, modules power off when they don't think they're connected). I just want this sequencer to spit into the midi controller output but all the little lights stay off.

Again, the structure itself is fine -- if I attach it to, for example, the pitch input of an oscillator then it works as intended. Sadly, the Midi Controller output isn't good enough for Reaktor to consider a complete connection.

Incidentally, I can get around this by multiplying the sequencer's output by zero and making a dummy connection (all the little lights turn on and the sequencer moves) but that seems a needless workaround. What is it that I'm not understanding?

*Edit: A few seconds of creative googlin' rectified my screen capture issue and I've now attached a picture of the relevant structure. Don't spend too much time dwelling on the structure, however, as it works perfectly fine when Reaktor (arbitrarily?) determines it has a complete connection.
