Q1. Is there such a thing as a cut cue point? What I'd like to do is set a cut cue on track A/deck one and a cue-in point on track B/deck two so track A dies as track B cues in.

Q2. Cue in/cue out points are called Fade In/Fade Out. Am I missing something? Is there a way to get tracks to fade in/out from these points apart from a manual fade?

Q3. If I set Traktor Pro to open in full screen mode, it opens full screen and then immediately minimises to the task bar. No big deal, I just have to maximise it, but it's annoying. I'm using Vista Home.

    Q1. Fade out marker

Q2. You need to disable the option in preferences to ignore the Fade In/Fade Out markers. I think. Bottom line - there's an option in preferences that addresses this...Can't remember what it is off the top of my head. ... And you need to be in AutoPlay (so you don't manually fade).

    Q3. Dunno.

Q3 is a bit weird. I've got Vista and it doesn't do this. Do other programs open minimised?

    Thanks guys!

Q1: How do I cut a track (dead) using a fade out marker?

Q2: Aha - I see. So in non-cruise (Autoplay) mode, all that happens is that the fade out marker in track A triggers the fade in marker on track B.

    lethal_pizzle
Yep, certainly is. No other program does that. Worse, if I go from full screen mode to windowed mode, TP often freezes completely.

Hmmm... the fullscreen/windowed crash thing was a problem in earlier versions. Are you on 1.1.2?

Q1...by turning off the option to ignore the fade out marker, then it should fade out? I haven't tested this, so I don't know.

    No, then it's ignored ;)

    Mutley/Chilly
Yep, I do have that checked, that's why it starts in fullscreen mode ;)

    lethal_pizzle

No...reread what I wrote. Turn OFF the ignore option. Which means it won't be ignored...

    wha-?

How can you be where you started if turn off the ignore feature? It should recognize the marker then.

I mean I'm back to where we started, at least as far as Q1 is concerned:
    - I still can't do that

I think there is something fishy about the way the fade-in/out -markers work. I did some testing, and for a while everything went just as I'd expect it to (I don't use the markers normally, because I generally never have any use for any sort of autoplay) in the "cruise"-mode. However, after a while, something happened, and no longer when the current track hit the fade-out marker did the other one start playing... reason for this is unknown.

I believe there might still be a bug lurking somewhere concerning this functionality in the software.
