Guys I'll get back to this as soon as I can. Right now between full time work, part time work and beta testing T3 to the max I'm flat out 18 hour a day, 7 days a week. I barely have time to find music for the radio show and now I may have a residency in Seattle, plus we may be putting on monthly events up there. Holy crap!!!!

Remember the Traktor Throwdown way back when? No? Well check out the Link here www.beatchemistry.net/blog to find out a little more.

I've posted the mix so far.... Parts 1-4. I was able to resurrect the original WAV file off a damaged backup tape. There are still couple of parts to add that I'm still restoring and I'll add this week When I have a moment. Hit us up if you want to add to the mix...

    Phil,
I went through a full on house phase from around 2000 - 2004 so if you can call tracks from that recent "classic" I'd love to step up. I'll have to rip some to mp3 to do the digital thing but I'm sure there's some juicy tunes amoung the several thousand floating about at home in the loft... :D

Darryl, You are more than welcome to join in the Fun! Heres how its looking right now.... There are two more parts to add to the set. One piece finished restoring last night and the other will be done by Wednesday. I'll put the parts into the master mix and post it online.

When thats done I'll send you a link to download the last track in the set and a Hi Quality Version of the last part, you can follow on from there, choosing whatever old school or old-ish school tracks your creative genius thinks are good. You create your 20-30 minute mini-mix and just let the last track play out completely, noting the exact BPM it was playing at. You then Zip your mix in WAV format along with a copy of your last Track and Tracklisting that shows your ending BPM. Send me the package by www.YouSendIt.com. I'll Glue the pieces together and post the full Mix online. When the next person signs up I'll send them the bits needed to continue. As many people can signup as they want. It does not have to be all truly old school. You can take the mix to where you think it should go. When there is a piece finished I'll send out a message and let people know, who-ever has time can pick it up and move it ahead. Normally you have several days to a week to do your bit, but its all negotiable ;)

    Howz that?

    Phil,
Soundz great to me, will get to hunting through vinyl tonight.

On sound quality, do you want the track normalised/maximised to a particular db level? I usually stick my mixes through Soundforge and maximise to -.2db if I can and compress peaks over that by 1:4 with the ol' wavehammer, alternately I can just leave as it comes out so that you can fiddle to get it close to what you already have.

I'm liking the idea of this big collab - global thinking - global playing - intergalactic soundz :D :D

Yeah just give me the maximized output, I'll put the whole mix through WaveHammer to get a uniform sound.

Well, I'm hoping I'll get about 4 or 5 days for this as I haven't even gone through all my house records to find the best and most appropriate yet! Also am taking the wife to the theatre tonight and it looks like the surf will be cranking this weekend so busy busy :) I think Phil still has some stuff to do with restoring files though so we'd best not hassle the guy as is on his own time ;)
