This is the only other channel setting I found I could change and I have the same issue. I'll post if anything changes, otherwise I'll wait until you check it out.

Yep, I finally figured out how to do this-just click on the ext channel you want to duplicate and in the Arrange window press "New Track with Duplicate Settings" (the right button) for as many tracks as desired and record directly to them. I then created aux tracks to monitor separate drum elements. No need to program and split!!!

I've been using Maschine in Logic for about 4 years now and my recommendation is........

    Use Maschine as a plugin.

It really makes things so much easier IMO, keep it simple. You can spend alot of time trying to sync Maschine with Logic but when it comes to workflow I've found its easiest to just use Maschine as a plugin to record the midi notes then you can mix inside Logic.

Are you referring to drag/drop? I've explained in this thread my reasons in a previous post for not going that route as well as other issues. How are you recording midi notes inside Logic from Maschine? I've tried loading Maschine as a software instrument 16xstereo multi output and duplicating the channels to record midi and it doesn't record, which is why I've chosen a live midi batch setup. The latter also is less CPU intensive for my computer.

On a side topic, I wish that Apple or someone (Apogee?) would come up with a dedicated hardware controller for Logic Pro X. Basically, the equivalent to the Maschine Studio but for Logic.

@leslieg02 the Scarbee Mark 1 works for me if i change the MIDI Channel to 3 - in Kontakt - which matches the MIDI that is sending to Maschine and the MIDI Channel setting in Maschine for the piano.

have you checked the Service Centre for updates for Kontakt and Scarbee?

fwiw, i would just load the Scarbee Mark 1 into LOgic, if i was recording MIDI into Logic.

I add software instrument>load Maschine 2> load and instrument or sample inside Maschine> press record inside Logic and MIDI notes should be generated as you play your controller (if using Maschine as controller you will be limited opposed to a keyboard).

There are some tutorials to set up a multitimberal instance of Maschine to record each individual pad to a separate midi track inside logic but its tedious.

Drag and drop is tedious IMO, it never works perfectly.

I feel your pain, I had major CPU issues before Maschine 2.0. As long as you keep updating the software you should be able to handle the processing.

Yes I just ran Service Center a few days ago and installed the upgrades. I don't know what's up with Kontakt/scarbee but I'll just load it as its own plugin inside Logic to avoid any more headaches . Thank you so much for all of your help. Hope this helps someone else!
