    Hi,

Which controllers and soundcards would most people here recommend for use with Traktor Pro? I prefer to pay for quality, but at the same time my finances are limited (ie I can't afford the Xone 4D). I have a Pioneer DJM 600 as a mixer so I'm just looking at controller/soundcard/all-in-one options, and wondered if anyone here as any advice?

    Kind Regards

if you already have a mixer, i would go with the 1d. you can pick one up for about $300, as far as sound card... i would go with a native instruments card. (audio 8 if you can afford it, or if you dont need 4 decks, they just released a card with 2 stereo outputs) they are rock solid, scratch certified, and have built in midi ports. which allows you to plug the 1d directly into it. there are many controllers out there, but the xone series controllers fit real nice and tight next to the mixer, and they have alot of great features. one word of advice is to get to know how modifiers work when your setting up your midi map. and have a plan before setting it all up.

sorry, i meant the audio 4 (2 stereo outs and ins) that one is scratch certified. i thought it had a mini i/o, but i was mistaken. anyhow, i still recoment that to anyone on a budget, Native instruments soundcards are the only ones i can trust at a gig.

    xone 1d + audio 2 + djm 600...

The combination of xone 1d + audio 2 + djm 600 looks good. Will I still be able to use hook up a turntable to the djm 600 and use if fully in the mix? Or would I need to upgrade to the Audio 4? Also, will I be able to record back into the laptop (Macbook Pro) from the DJM 600 while running this? Currently, when I'm playing 2 Technics + 1 DJM 600 I use the Macbook Pro for recording out of the DJM 600.

to record back into traktor you would need the audio 4. the audio 2 doesnt have any audio inputs. but i suppose you could use a different program to record using the built in soundcard on your macbook.
