Best way to fix missing art for Maschine expansions?

Moved some libraries and stuff to an external but some art work didn't follow along. Whats the best way to fix missing art?
Just tried reinstalling the expansion via NA but it dint fix the problem.

Any ways to fix it?

I don't know if i have to delete the packs complete but there is no uninstall from NA and overwriting via NA didn't fix the issue. I have found that its a deadens story trying to fix artwork in maschine in most cases.

Any help?

Did the job for me and fixed the problem of several missing icons (thumbnails, artwork) in the Maschine browser!

 

Whats "and stuff" exactly?
What's missing the artwork? Everything? just expansions, instruments..?
The artwork is in a specific folder and it's meant to stay in your system drive and not go into the external, just moving libraries shouldn't have any impact on the artwork.. Did you do anything else other than just moving the libs? Check if the images are where they are supposed to be:

• MAC - /users/shared/ni resources/image folder
• PC - C:\Users\Public\Documents\NI Resources\image folder

Hey, I'm sorry! I guess you have to do some manual file copying then!

Now, I'm not fluent in MacOS, so I can't give you EXACT file paths, but I will try.

First you have to identify which Expansion-thumbnails are missing (write them down, or memorize).

Launch your Finder and navigate to this folder: /users/shared/ni resources/image

See if there is a folder named [Expansion Name] inside. Likely this will NOT be the case, hence the Artwork is missing.

Now, I unfortunately don't know how or where you can get the missing Folder(s). Maybe some other forum member can help you!

You could try to copy a folder, paste it and then rename it to [Expansion Name].

Inside this copied folder, among the artwork images, there is a .meta file you likely need to rename and it requires some editing. You can do this with a standard text-editor. This way, you will at least not get a generic 'plug' icon/thumbnail.

I guess the root cause of the missing artwork, is due to some scripts inside the NI installer, that were not coded or tested correctly.

thanks for the help guys. the last post did the trick! just search for the file in finder and drag and drop to the right folder. It looks like when I set to install libs. to the external also the art work was sent there as well. Wonder if theres any other problems that may arise ?

Maybe it's better if you actually took some time to read the complete thread! I already suggested this tool, but the OP is on a Mac!

Use spotlight search and search for expansion name and it will bring up the folder that has the art work then drag and drop it into the right spot on your hard drive. I think someone listed it above its in /users/shared/ni resources/image

it will immediately update in the software and you can see th e image fixed with out restarting the program.

 

One would hope it to be that easy. The files are not on the system. At all.

 

NI -- This should be a BUG. It has been an issue for some time now.

 

Is the issue only for expansions?
Here, have my image folder, put it in /users/shared/ni resources/image folder, it should fix the issue.

 

Check this out -- So I went to the support portal and found that they in fact have this as an issue -- to fix it it looks like they offer the image directory as a download. Looks like once you click the link you have to be authorized to download the files.

That fixed mostly all of it. I think the download will have the other missing icons like Radiant Horizon. I assume you dont have this expansion.

New issue now All Arturia icons from V7 are now gone lol

 

No prob, grab the official folder then, it should have more expansions than mine. (?)

Oh snap. Do not replace my folder with yours, merge them; sorry that's my bad, I should have had said it before.
