ok have gotten hold of a used mpc1000 cheap and wanted to incorporate it into my Maschine MK1 based set up somehow,
looking for the best use of both
so far i have tried slaving Maschine to MPC via midi in on Maschine but am getting strange tempo drift with the tempo not seeming to be locked, not out of sync but always in motion numerically speaking..

is anyone else running MPC with Maschine and any workflow or set up tips?
i am thinking now of running maschine audio through MPC and sampling parts as i need so i can run MPC untethered at work on slow days
    many thanks..

I have both as well. Just picked up the Maschine and love it's workflow soo much more. I can see the desire to clock sync more if you wanted to jam with someone, each person having a loop to record / stop / dub... But for one person to play I think it would be more flexible to use midi output from the MPC and send it to particular groups. This way you can use Maschine to play one group and MPC to play another at the same time. The MPC messages could be recorded in Maschine's sequencer. The MPC can also be set to send on single midi channels attached to Tracks, so changing Tracks on the MPC will change what Groups it will control in Maschine.

Also, if you send Midi from the Maschine back to the MPC (and turn off 'midi though') you can use Maschines sequencer to play the MPC's samples.

Good idea about running the audio into the MPC to play at work :) I often found sampling via record was easier then trying to convert my samples to the right format for this ancient beast!
