The Esc button breaks navigation. This problem was not present in the previous release. Previously, after pressing Esc, keyboard mapping stopped working. Now, after pressing Esc, it goes crazy.

    To reproduce:
    1. Use any (or default) keyboard mapping with navigation buttons Up / Down / Left / Right.
    2. Click on any field in the Browser to Edit it.
    3. Press Esc.
    4. Try moving the cursor/selection Up, Dn, Left or Right.

(MacOs 10.15.7, No controller connected, No external keyboards, no problem with my keyboard)

    Hey radiokrishna,
thanks for your detailed report! That looks scary, I will investigate this and eventually file a bug internally!

I can reproduce the bug from the video!
And I experienced a similar behavior.

This happened about 2 weeks ago while testing the new beta. Could not reproduce the bug (until this thread). But in my case, I haven't allowed Traktor to edit tracks in the browser. Still not able to reproduce the bug without having "allow inline editing" checked. In my case, I was midi-mapping as the browser went weird. I have a browser mapping for scrolling up/down, but I wasn't mapping that midi map. I also triple checked my keyboard.

Short video snippet I shot as it happened first time. Sorry for the background audio of the tv.

    This occurs in TP3.4.1.245, too.

    Hi c0nsul,
thanks for your report! Since you are now able to reproduce the bug could you share the reproduction steps and/or a video showing the bug? (the one above somehow starts with the bug already happening so it doesn't help us with reproducing the bug itself from scratch)

    Best,
    Enzo

    Hi Enzo @ NI
I still cannot reproduce the behavior (I observed), but I'm still investigating this.
The scrolling browser behavior happens (in my case) when I'm midi mapping.

Yesterday it happened while I was mapping an encoder on my VCI-400 to move within a track in deck A. I noticed the endless scrolling when moving the pref window. I was not able to stop the scrolling. Switching to other playlists and clicking around the browser didn't stop the scrolling. I had to restart Traktor. After restarting, the behavior was normal. And though I started mapping the encoder again, it didn't happen again.

I made sure, this scrolling is not caused by a conflicting midi mapping and by my keyboard.

Like I said, I'm still trying to provoke that behavior and to figure out what triggers it.
I will report any further information here.

    PS:
After testing some more hours I'm still not able to to reproduce the issue (yet).
Tried to remember what I was mapping while the browser went wild.
I was mainly mapping the beat grid section to push encoders and the hotcue section on my controller: Setting/Moving/Deleting/Lock/Auto BeatGrid, Store/Delete Hotcue.
radiokrishna´s observed behavior was triggered by exiting changing metadata by ESC button.
And as the new beta focus es on metadata of different file types, I will focus more on the beat grid and hotcue sections to see if saving/changing/exiting these metadata triggers the behavior. Most of my tracks are AACs (iTunesMatch).

PPS: Although no notes from me on this behavior within the last week, I'm still trying to reproduce the issue.
