Same problem here -- DP4.1 does not load Reaktor AU. According to the MOTU AU log:

    "Reaktor4
Contact the manufacturer for an updated version of this Audio Unit"

Is it possible that the Reaktor AU is out of date? It just came out. Anyone have some insight?

DP4.1 on my Mac did recognize and install the R4 AU components when I booted DP4.1 for the first time... and 4.1 will boot and continue to see R4 AU properly.

Problem comes when I try to call up an Instrument track using R4. DP4.1 crashes consistently at this point. Other AU VI's will instantiate properly when call up as Instrument track.

Nice going NI, another update that doesn't work, requiring yet another update.
Amazing how plenty of other, smaller, less funded software companies can get the AU thing right...

plenty hard to make music when we're CONSTANTLY in this "wait for an update to fix what was updated one time prior" mode.

    it's BS

    N.I. ?

sounds more like Motu should get their act together to me! They've had weeks to try out reaktor, if they tried it at all! can't expect N.I. to release a special Motu update, just cos they can't be bothered to make a decent program. Reaktor works very well with all other hosts. Its as if DP wasn't really conceived to work with virtual instruments anyway, seeing as even the previous MAS versions were a disaster with reaktor. The only thing i like about DP is the close resemblance to Pro Tools, and the "bounce as many reason tracks as you like in one go" feature.

well, you can point your finger to MOTU if you like, your feelings about the app are obvious and you're welcome to them.

fact is, many many other AU VI's work in DP4.1 just fine.

fact is, NI's support of Mac has always lagged:
    - NI's support of Windoze platform
    - other software vendors support of the Mac platform

So maybe the "blame" is on MOTU, maybe on NI, whatever, I dont' care about placing blame, I just want the software to work as advertised... which is what we paid for, right?

    I agree

don't get me wrong, i used to use and appreciate DP (versions 2.42-3.11(4))...and i still believe that it is a great program!

    i agree with your opinons.
