Big problem with Bandstand

Bandstand pass over 256 polyphonic voice and freeze like hell.

What I suppose to do.

I have a Athlon xp 1.8 ghz
I have 1 gigabyte of ram
I have Windows xp pro
My sound card is creative soundblaster audigy 2

I am sorry to report that I can repro your problems on my Athlon 1.67 GHz here. All these will be entered as Bandstand bugs and looked at as soon as we get the time.

* gazza.mid: can't open either

* tcsl24.mid: was able to play the part at 1:25 or so after setting my MobilePre ASIO latency to max (36 s) but the whole second part still shows CPU > 100%

* tcsl2829.mid: I have the same problem like you; even with max voices = 256 and restarting Bandstand (so that the correct DFD voices are assigned!), I also get > 256 current voices with my above system settings

I researched a similar problem for another user and found a cause for the too many voices problem. could you please try if this fixes your problem as well for the third file below?

does it also fix the problem with the second file?

I'll give a try as soon that I have a new Hard drive (because my first hard drive is nearly full with Bandstand installed on)
