Big problems with traktor 2 HELP

Hi was hoping somebody could help me solve the problems I'm having with traktor 2..it doesn't calibrate v well, it plays backwards when I lift the needle, I'm on vinyl! It doesn't save settings, it cracks pops n generally annoys me. Have been trying to suds it for two days now and have made some progress but not much, would appreciate it if someone could help me with this !

Lets sort these issues one by one.

First off please fill out your profile with your hardware specs. It helps us trouble-shoot.
Which exact version are you using. Traktor header: Help > About

Traktor plays backwards if the needles are dirty, worn or there are bad contacts on the headshell/tonearm.

What settings is it not saving..?

Pops and crackles can be cause by many things. Please turn off all WiFi and Bluetooth.
Adjust the latency upwards and reduce the Sample rate to 44100.

You should read the manual on setting up your DVS properly.
Please read the Tuning Tips in the Knowledge Base on the Support site.
Please have a search of the forum for tips.

Give these things a go and we can see where we are after that.

Hi thanks for your quick response mate, I have traktor pro on my laptop then upgraded to the newest one traktor 2. I have brand new Shure needles on and have tried all the latency settings, is it possible it's going pear cause I have two traktors on my laptop? Jeff

Also any savings I make ie clicking boxes for absolute on loading ect are not done when I load up again, also have a light on saying software lock I've turned it off via audio 8 settings but always comes back on as it doesn't save any settings

 

I've had this problem to in the past.

Make sure your TT's are well grounded...

Cheers mate that had solved almost every problem, just needed earthed, I'm still getting a little bit of skipping though have you any tips on fine tuning this?

 

Also the BPm doesn't read totally , flickers a lot
