    ;)

Most wanted, but not happening - Half price on Komplete 10 Ultimate - (maybe 25% off?)

Oh goodie yet another black Friday thread.

Brand new Roland 16 pad sampler complete with dodgy drivers, and a zero latency iPad.

It will be the announcement that NI is going togo to a subscription based system for all Komplete products, much like Adobe, but naturally it will be better for you in the long run.:p

That will be an inevitability I'm afraid... That's probably the most accurate prediction in a very long while.

I meant it partially tongue in cheek but also with some truth. I think for adobe photoshop it is actually a good deal if you are an active user, they tended to always upgrade and it was expensive taking that into account the monthly fee works out less expensive but with music software I honestly don't know. Personally depending on cost it wouldn't make sense for me. I need very little incentive go hardware and this sort of deal could push me the rest of the way.

In truth I can't help but wonder if the discount they just had wasn't the deal for this year.

I thought the same for a moment, but then they always do some Black Friday specific promo. Kind of doubt they wouldn't promote it as such if that was the case.

Yeah Steinberg were going lose a lot customers doing that subscription-https://www.steinberg.net/forums/viewtopic.php?f=198&t=77567
If it's too expensive wait for the sales or get the entry level komplete products.

Doesn't matter to me because I'm going to buy komplete 11 ultimate update, maschine with a new controller, and traktor 3 regardless.

If they do that, AKAI is going to laugh all the way to the bank because that would definitely be the Biggest Nail in NI's coffin. There is not one producer out there that will subscribe to VST instruments. That is most idiotic thing I have heard. And by the way, Adobe is central to major corporations, NI, is not on that level

If they did do that, you would see a big rise in Hardware purchases quickly.

Isn't there a choice with all of those though. Buy outright or Pay as you go. (Pro Tools and Sonar)

Sonar after 12 months you own it. So you buy 12 month blocks. No service packs after that.
