just got one of the new Bose Soundlink Mini's, which are incredible BTW...easily the best on the market for a bluetooth speaker sound quality wise...although using it with TDJ on my ipad the sound is very choppy...you can hard wire it of course but wondered if this was a common occurrence with all bluetooth speakers... i.e. Beats Pill, Jawbone etc....

Mine is almost 2 years old.
Works great with TSP on Mac, Traktor on Ipad and Traktor on Iphone, no choppy sound when using bluetooth, only ofcourse delay.
    With cable perfect.

Edit: thought it was about the original soundlink, did not know there was a mini.
All I can say is that the original soundlink works good.

Have the same exact issue, just got my Bose SoundLink Mini (which I 2nd sounds awesome, whole lot of base from this little speaker), I can play to any of my other speakers, but when I choose Bluetooth Handsfree Audio as my Audio Output option I get no sound at all.

If I have Traktor Pro 2 open and switched to Bluetooth Handfree Audio and have this also as my default sound choice in Windows 7, then I am not getting sound from any application. As soon as I close Traktor Pro 2 then my sound comes back, I think this is because I have Allow applications to take exclusive control on in my sound options.

Edit: I think I figured out my problem, I had this same problem with my USB laptop dock. It seems the Traktor Pro 2 only like to play at 44100 Hz and not 48000 Hz, I remember I had to go into the properties for the USB laptop dock and change the sample rate to 44100 Hz and then Traktor Pro 2 was able to play through it. Since the Bose SoundLink Mini only has a sample rate option of 48000 Hz, I guess I'm S.O.L. and will have to wire the SoundLink Mini directly. Luckily I have the Audioengine W1 wireless transmitter/receiver that I can hook to it if I choose, which has no delay via Bluetooth. Great for any active speakers that you may have.

I got a soundlink today and use it via my ipad. When doing a live mix, and using the sync function, i cant get the tracks to beatmatch. Really annoying. Is there any cure. Always seems to be a delay of just a second or two which obviously throws the beat out. Letting Traktor sync by just pressing play, rather than using que points works, but thats hard and not want i want to do.

    Any ideas guys?

I own one, too. Perfect device on the road with a great sound.

But - like stated already in the 1st post - it is essential to hard wire to avoid any delays. Bluetooth is just not made for zero latency DJ purposes.

Thanks for response. So is that a problem with Traktor, Bose or just Bluetooth? I hope by buying bose its not the only device that does this or i would have bought something else.

Seems weird that the delay occurs as surely the frequency is just transmitted by what is being streamed, so if sync works then that should just replicate whats happening on the ipad?!

When you say hard wire them up, what cable do i need to buy? I will have to get one.

It will happen on all bluetooth speakers. When data is transmitted through the air there is a slight time delay. Depending on the technology used to transfer this data will determine how much lag time there is.
If you use a 3mm to 3mm jack wire from the headphone socket on the ipad to the similar input socket on the speaker, this lag time will not be apparent.
