and yeaa if dev are watching bring back patterns and cut the Jam Christmas lights off please!!! I don't know whats up with you guys and these lights its almost every uptade you turn them all up again when maschine software not in use!!! Come on are you really that desperate to make our gear go black so we have to buy new??? Seriously this is not the first time you keep doing this :thumbsdown::cool:

I have maschine studio and jam. Watch some videos on the tube of users using both. Jam might not fit your workflow. Give it some more time to work with both.

Try doing an arrangement with scenes in patterns on jam and then go back to the standard groove box.

The problem that I'm finding is that you can't go back and forth between both. I have Studio & Jam. I may start with Jam and then use Studio when I want to focus more on editing the sounds or samples. But if I start a pattern in Jam and then try to start another from Studio, the whole software gets confused. One has to be the definite master controller unless there's something I don't understand. I'm back to using my Studio primarily without too much involvement if at all with Jam. I'll keep watching videos to learn more.

I have maschine studio on a stand behind komplete kontrol. I switch my placements for this stuff every once in a while. I start with maschine studio and do all my edits etc. Then get on komplete kontrol browse the sounds etc via the keyboard and play the keyboard parts. Once I have recorded all my scenes and labeled them properly I play the arrangements via jam and arrange a whole song. Get my balances right and maybe do some automation via the performance effx using the touch strips. Then I might start a session via jam and program drums via the step sequencer and then get on Maschine Studio make a sample beat (Do my chops etc) for example. Main thing is I'm not touching a mouse with the NI ecosystem. What I would do is maybe just use jam and your komplete kontrol by itself for a week. Then you would have figured out maybe the strengths of both maschine studio and jam. Just go with a flow and not think I need to start on Jam or Maschine Studio. Go with your feel during your session.
