...is there any functionality that folks have discovered (or invented) for Kore 2? Every few years I need to reassess my use of old hardware and software, and there's no better time to do it than when I upgrade Komplete. It's been how many years now, and I use my Kore less and less. Still nothing to replace it; not really. But I may need to consider what to do with Kore in my setup. If not now for K11U, then eventually for K12 or beyond, I may finally be ready to sunset my last vestiges of Kore. For those of you who have already upgraded to K11U, can you tell me if it broke your Kore install, or did you only install the instruments that are new with K11U? Do you have any other advice for Kore 2 Users?
try loading Monark in your S49 in NKS format, and on another track, put my Monark template in Kore. Init patch on both. make a sound in Kore first (remember you can select pages by holding Control), then on the S49. mouse forbidden. which one did you prefer? yep. that's why we're still here.
Were you saying you prefer Kore because it "sounded better"? Or were you saying that Kore "just works"? Not clear on that...Use your template? Init patch? I'm really not going to do those generic things and since I'm not, your context was completely lost on me. Just tell us in simple language why you're still using Kore, and I'd also like to know if Kontakt 5 and other current Komplete plugins are working okay with Kore.
well, of course the sound is the same, but the patch-building experience is so much better, that you could possibly make better patches with it. in the sticky threads of this forum there's the Kore Patches thread, that's where we put the templates, make sure to get the template for each vst you use... mine for monark is somewhere in the last few pages. then inside kore, instead of loading monark from the menu, you open it from my template (it's a simple .ksd kore sound, put it in your user patches folder), so that you have a good control surface. basically, in komplete kontrol, the control surface protocol is really really bad, whereas in Kore it's excellent. a monark comparison side by side would show you what I mean right away. it's more obvious if you init and make a sound from scratch instead of just tweaking one. I have Komplete 10, everything works nicely in Kore, there are Kore Sounds for Kontakt 5 and Battery 4 as well. there are even .NKS patches meant to be run inside Kore somewhere in here, with all the new libraries tagged. sorry for being vague lol it's usually advanced kore die-hards who still post in here.
