This is a bug report of Traktor PRO 3 3.0.104 (latest RC)
The bug shows up when browsing folders. Lets consider an imported, analysed folder with an album. With correct BPM, and waveform, and the Release column not filled. (1.png) Lets select the whole list, and in the right click menu select Edit. (2.png) Fill the Release field, and click OK. The BPM field gets blank, and If You drop a track in the deck, it gets analysed again. (3.png)

This happens in Traktor PRO 3 3.3.0.104 and 3.3.0.91 on my own Windows 10 PC. The bug in not confirmed with Traktor PRO 3 3.2.1.9. (Can not reproduce, but it was just a quick check.)

All the files are FLAC, the Do not write any tags option is checked, but the files are not write protected anyway.

Please check if you can reproduce it, and I'll help as much as I can.

    Hi Exaghost ,

Thank you for your report. Please provide us with one FLAC file which gives you the problem. You need to make a zip archive of the flac and you can send it to me in a private message.

    Best

    Hi!
Thanks for the quick answer. Okay, I'll send you some. However, I don't think it is a file situation, since I turned off the tag to file write feature, as soon, as you implemented it.. I'll do more investigation with more files.

    Update1:
I did a new experiment with another folder.
First I made a backup and CRC32 and MD5 checksums. Then I did the previous steps. As I guessed, Traktor did not changed the files at all. Those are 24 bit FLACs. I'll send you two sample files forom both folder.

    Update2:
    One strange thing:
Look at the dates on 5.png ! Are they normal, or should they 1900.01.01 or 1970.01.01 or... ?

This bug also happenns in traktor version 3.2 and previous. When tracks have been analysed and then the track editor is opened ALL fields are empty again. Most of the time it concerns wave files. At the same time the affected wave files are not correctly sorted in for example the BMP and key column. The Always are on top of the sorted list.

Okay, just one more thing :D
If you do this edit from the browser, but from the search, instead of folder browsing, the bug does not show. Steps are all the same as for the first report.
    Hope this helps.

    The last investigation. :D
If I do the mentioned process by only using the full collection view, with no folder browse, or filtering, the problem does not accour. So I am confident, it is a folder browsing situation. There is no file write in the three cases.

In my case it happens (as mentioned in earlier post ) only with WAV files and not FLAC or MP3.

Thanks for following up on this one!
Just a few more questions to narrow this a bit further down, as we haven't been able to reproduce this in-house yet:
    - is it required that the Release is empty beforehand, or does the deletion of BPM occur at any subsequent edit of the Release?
    - does it also happen if you only select 2 tracks (instead of selecting the entire list)?
    - does it also happen when you batch edit another field or does it only happen on batch-editing the Release name?

    Good Day

I have since the release installed the latest Beta Version, Only really tested today. 2 very important key items i picked up

1 - the effects controls , as well the EQ controls are VERY VERY sensitive to adjust, not sure what happened why this has happened, just a slight adjust & the entire control either moves completely to the left or to the right.

2 - after adding new tracks for processing, i close traktor without scanning them, i open Mixed in key, add those same tracks to get processed, once done, i close MIK, re-open MIK, export cue points, once done, close MIK, open Traktor, highlight the tracks, i relocate them & a weird thing happened, quite a few times times( possibly did this about 3 or 4 times for about an hour during my lunch break ) it did not read any of MIK info.

so i reverted back to the previous release candidate build, did the same process after installing that build & the MIK info are now being read again as before ( cue points, energy, etc.... )

Not sure what changes have been removed but the most recent Beta version may have other flaws which i have not checked out yet.

Point #2 is quite a very very important factor for me, kindly play around , maybe it's just me ,but i am currently not installing this latest BETA Version again.

Thanks for the responses in advance.

    Hi!
Thanks for Your replay. I can check it tomorrow, I dont have my setup in place.
2nd question: Maybe yes, if I select only a few tracks.
