Brass Ensemble articulation keeps playing

I'm using Brass Ensemble in Symphony Essentials.

When I swtich articulation, the previous note being played keeps sounding.

For example, going from sforzando to a staccato, the original sforzando note is still playing.

How do I change it to work properly? Is it a bug?

    Any help appreciated.

I'm not in front of SE BE right now, but that is typical for how articulation switches usually work. This is because a composer may legitimately want to use a different articulation for adjacent notes and you wouldn't want the articulation switch to cut off the previous sounding note (it would sound very unnatural and artificial).

But you need to be able to control the length of an articulation like sforzando. It might last, for example, 2 or 3 beats of a bar.

There's release and tightness on the GUI. Does help a bit.
