    Hey Irv

    I only read this thread and have not read other threads, but I agree with you, posting on other forums is not the smartest thing to do, but that is the TS own choice.

    Sometimes company's do make mistakes and offcourse they don't want this too happen but it happens.
    This will be sorted, I'm sure.

    But what irritates me are comments like "what's all the fuss about" especially from someone who is in close relation to N.I.
    This makes really no sense and is not what the TS wants to hear after recieving two Z2's which are not 100%.
    Fact is, somebody messed up, but please leave comments away, not really helpfull for TS.
    That's my point.

    Z2 price=2,5months full wages.
    Start the package again.
    Not a pleasant experience.

    totally - but when manufacturing such an amount, one can have bad luck. everybody had this once or twice in his/her life with something you bought. this kind of things can happen and can be easily sorted out with a few emails.

    the respective thread in the SSL forum is titled: "Why sucks N.I.?"
    i find that pretty offensive, actually.

    For sure! You clearly documented your stuff... I bought my Z2 used from Guitar Center and it still looks great aside from the crossfader label fade. The guy above is right, call them most of the Moderators might just avoid you on here. :thumbsdown:

    Totally unacceptable. Yet another example of how NI treats its customers.

    As it stand right now i have no plans of buying or recommending any hardware from NI but if that changes I would buy from Amazon due the more reliable & faster exchange/return policy.

    I find the lack of customer service from NI offensive.

    I really wish NI and the board moderators would show more concern with us DJs & our customer satisfaction vs. post over on serato board & defending NI.

    Hope you get your new replacment mixer soon. Its a good product possibly one of NI best. NI should take the hit, let you keep the reburb and as well the new replacement for your inconvenience.

    "brand new" (not)
    .. but not unopened box.(usb cable,power cable unopened)
    So difficult to send a new one?? Unopened box..

    I feel sorry for you man, I really do.
    This really looks bad.
    To the N.I. guys: I know you read the forums from time to time, I think now it's the time react in person to this tread and make sure this gets solved.

    Go for a refund. Maybe you can just buy this in person at a store when it goes on sale again. The condition of the unit sent to you is not piss poor but, it shows poor workmanship in not cleaning up the unit and replacing the worn knobs.

    I wrote an e-mail again.
    I got answers:

    "We will have new units available for replacement in about a few weeks,
    unfortunately we are out of stock at the moment."
    ...
    "Okay, so we will inform you and replace this unit to a new one as soon as new
    devices have arrived."


    I would like to see an unopened box !

    Where is the support here?

    They should have told you they were sending another refurbished unit before shipping. They basically made the same mistake twice.

    Seriously dude. Get your money back and invest it with a different company or have them send you a brand new unit and keep the refurb.

    Thanks for posting this as it help show the direction NI continues to follow.

    Been following this post with interest, and I must say that I am totally shocked by the behaviour of such a large company, and as a long term customer of NI makes me think why treat customers like this, hope I never have any problems with my kit, hope you get it sorted.
    Some compensation is due I think, a letter of apology plus a nice big discount voucher from NI....

    This is ridiculous, you paid full retail price and expect to get a new unit.No more or less.
    The €50 voucher discount they offer you for keeping a USED unit is a very bad deal, for you.
    If you want a used unit you can find the Z2 way cheaper on the used market.
    Go for a refund or get at least a new Z2 that is working.
    I don't understand why they send you a used unit to replace a used unit when you should get a new unit to replace a broken new unit.
    €50 voucher is a joke.

    Return it, Return it, Return it!

    Honestly at this point I am going to say just save your money and get a Rane 57SL MK2 or Rane Sixty-Two. It might cost a lot of money but, Rane has the best customer support I've ever seen in an audio hardware company. When you send them things for repair they repair your actual unit. You already gave NI plenty of chances to make this right and they didn't.
